Breaking (#14324): Barcelona are set for a return to the Spotify Camp Nou. The club expect approval within hours to reopen the stadium on September 14th vs Valencia, starting with 27,000 fans. Capacity will then expand to 45,000 in October and 60,000 in November, as works continue toward the final 105,000-seat project.

Sounds too good to be true but let's hope

Today is definitely the day to know if we return for the Valencia game or not. City council gave time till today to fix everything they were not satisfied with.

They will never play in front of 60.000 in november.
I think, if they get the approval, we will play in front of 27000 until start of next year

Haters and opponents are so fucked now.

You know how long we've been waiting for this?, we're about to make a name for ourselves.

Another thing I don't like AT ALL is that they receded the stands to have better inclination and so-called "better" visibility. It's a poor tradeoff, I'd rather be closer to the field than have steeper rows. Idiotic, look at that huge space from front row to the line of the pitch on the tribuna side.

It's bigger than any other stadium with no running track that I've seen.

It is not that bad to be honest, remember the pitch used to be larger, 4 meters wider and 3 meters longer. The pitch sits closer to the main stand, 7,5 meters compared to 11 meters on the oposing side. behind the goals the distance is 10 meters.

I don´t agree there are no other non athletic stadiums with stands further away, in fact there are quite a few of them. I suggest you go and watch a game at Gran Canaria Stadium (30 and 45 meters distance behind the goals) or Fiorentina stadium (60 meter distance behind the goals), don't forget to bring binoculars.

And modern stadiums like Emirates have a stand to pitch distance of 15 meters on all sides.

UEFA have granted permission to Barça to return to the Spotify Camp Nou in the middle of the league phase, in case they don't make it in time to play the first match against PSG there. In theory, they don't allow it, but UEFA consider Barça's situation a case of force majeure. @alexpintanel
