Of course. But the claim was that he carries this burden.
And it's not "some". Vast majority will be paid by future boards.
Actually there is zero burden, if all goes according the plan. The payment of the stadium loan will be entirely covered by the additional income the Nou Camp Nou brings in. In other words, this money the current and future boards need to pay wouldn't have existed in the first place without the new stadium.

The burden of figuring out how to get the stadium built, under less than ideal circumstances.

Daaaaaaah.

Jesus H Christ.

If it was easy to organize, so one could profit from individually, Rosell & Barto would have done it, to line their pockets, yhe two most corrupt men probably in all of Barcelona.

Stadium finances will have to be paid for by future president, no shit Sherlock, they will also benefit passivity from the increase revenue.

Your hate for laporta just make you say the dumbest shit, that a 5 year old could counter with facts.

It's so freaking simple, a 5 year old could see it

Camp Nou should have really been renovated while the club still owned Mini Estadi. It just made sense.

And if Laporta had stayed rather than Rosell coming in, it probably would have.

It's a shame also, nobody foresaw the immense growth of women's football in Europe. Hell, I was in the Euro scene 2015 and didn't get it. I only got it at the 2016 World Cup.

If we had caught win of it, the Johan Cruyff capacity could have and should have been bigger.

The idea of selling Mini Estadi was because it was a waste to have that land value and an almost 15k empty stadium for the attendances of Barca B games received.

But with the growth of the game that wouldnt be an issue now as the could tailor the stadium for the women's side. The current Johan Cruyff at 15-20k would have been immense.

And as a by product, would make the rebuild of the Camp Nou way less strenuous. I put this as another fail of the Barto/Rosell era.

Btw last point and tangent. Miss the days of driving into Barca and telling friends and partner, that's the Barcelona stadium pointing to MiniEstadi. Then the reaction when they say that's nice, but smaller than expected. Then saying "ok let's go to the club shop" and BAM, seeing the Camp Nou.

There was no bigger flex in those days.

Good post didn't even think about the mini stadium, would have been ideal now for the reasons you stated.

They are building completely separate changing rooms for the women's team in the new stadium, so I guess any consideration for adding seats to the cryuff isn't happening, but Also a good idea.

Stadium should indeed have been build years ago, whether it be this barto design or the old foster one, whichever would have us in a much better place than we are now.

As you can see, I am not criticizing him about the stadium.

I am for his constant lies, constant public embarrassments of the club with registration trouble, and terrible sporting decisions that draw us back some years.

You can't give lever-money to Xavi to buy players. Simple as that.
Had we made correct choices back then, we would have been at 1:1 since 2023

PS: But, no, do not spoil the narrative the sheepish folk propagate the last 4 years.
They will still be blaming Bartomeu in 2030, because the fatty made them believe so
