The Barça medical staff put the recovery time for Ter Stegen's surgery at between 4-5 months, instead of the 3 months stated by the German in his statement. He will require a longer recovery because of the chronic nature of the injury. RAC1
Right, it certainly has nothing to do with LaLiga's rule of registering a new player for 80% of the injured player's salary, if the injury is 4 months or longer![]()
I really hope his "3 months" statement was just a mistake and not an intentional malicious act against the club. In any case, LaLiga will listen to the doctors, not ter Stegen about the length of his recovery.
But who knows what Tebas might do, maybe send his own doctor to confirm only a 3 month recovery time, which would deny Barca the rule of registering a player for MAtS salary.
I propose we do a full body scan on Stegen and fix everything that is wrong with him.
It's probably closer to the Barcelona medical staff advise tbf, once you account for recovery and getting match fit.
Obviously the elephant in the room is why you can't fuckin just de-register a player that you no longer require, seeing as you can sign a player and not register.
Totally intentional.
What did he say previously when he got operated?? I don't think he gave timeline but maybe someone can dig up info? Usually players don't say these things themselves no? It's odd by him
To be fair he also said that he didn't divorce his wife because she was sleeping with the personal trainer.
She was
Up... All... Night.
To move where? Leave and perform surgery with the new club? Which club would take him like that?Whan an idiot! He will never wear Barca shirt again. Furthermore, he won't be a No.1 GK for Germany during 2026 WC. If the club and supporters don't want you here anymore just move on.
They'll probably sort out a deal. Extend his contract and pay deferred wages like with Messi, Busi etcSeems intentional by the club to postpone his surgery in order to use the 4-month rule to register a replacement. Otherwise it does not make any sense that he didn’t undergo surgery months ago.
