match is not cancelled yet, but suspended I read. Just document your partners ffs, we can't afford situations where we look amateurish. 10m you actually get is 10 million times more than 15m you don't see a penny of.

Maybe they will find a way to pay up now.

Can't be letting them off 5m just like that.

Next thing you know we are selling a player for 50m, then they change it to 40m last minute. 1 hour later we are calling them begging to accept 20m.

𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 Satement from the organizing company of Barcelona's Tour in Korea and Japan: "To all media outlets around the world: My name is Ham Sol, and I am the General Manager and official promoter of Barcelona's 2025 Asia Tour from D-Drive company. The match between Vissel Kobe and Barcelona, which has just been canceled, was originally proposed by the Yasuda Group — the main sponsor of Real Sociedad — and was supposed to be organized locally in Japan. D-Drive was scheduled to receive full payment for the match today, but the funds never arrived. Instead, the Yasuda Group repeatedly submitted invalid and forged documents, falsely claiming that the transfer had been made to Korea. We even have an audio recording of a Yasuda Group employee admitting that the company’s CEO never sent the money — clear evidence of deliberate fraud. Due to this fraudulent behavior, the public image of Rakuten has suffered major damage. Based on these facts, Barcelona made the correct and responsible decision to cancel the match in Japan. We will take legal action against the Japanese entities involved to seek compensation. In contrast, the promoter in Korea has completed all preparations and covered all match-related expenses. Only the flight costs remain. To our fans in Korea: don’t worry. D-Drive remains fully committed to making the rest of the tour a success. We’ll do everything possible to deliver unforgettable matches. Thank you. — Ham Sol"

Looks like the Japanese promoter was a sub contracter for the game against Kobe, who should have paid the Korean D-Drive company as the main promoter for Barca's Asia tour. That didn't happen, so Barca cancelled the flight to Japan. Would be interesting to know, if it's really that one sided, as the D-Drive CEO tells us here, or there were some misunderstandings between the Japanese and Korean companies. In any case Rakuten, Japan's Amazon, so far was a trusted partner and paid Barca a good amount of money when they were the main sponsor. They should be involved with the Japanese promoter, as Vissel Kobe is their team.

And as she says here, it's a major public image damage, especially for a Japanese company. Having a good public face is the most important thing in Japan. Let's see what else will come to light.

Ham Solo just spoke. May the force be with us.

Fuckin shambles all around though.

We should be owed compensation too. And the fans who have paid travel expense, tickets accodation will be the biggest losers.

Quite how all of this relied on payment being made the day before Barcelona's travel, is anyone's guess.

Knowing a about contracts and little about artist contracts and performances, the final payment is often made the day of or day before the performance.

So it's not really that unusual.

But it still doesn't look great and will give detractors more fuel for there fire

Maybe when dealing with more shady places, ask the money way before the gsme. Or at least from now on...

It's a problem from the financial side but great from the sporting side. I would be a luxury to spend the whole preseason at home, maybe book a couple friendlies in Europe, I'm sure many clubs would offer to host us.
