First MU wanted a sale/loan with obligation to buy - we got him on loan with BO - Deco W

Then MU wanted a 50m buy option, we got in negotiated down to 30m in case he does well enough we'll consider keeping him - another Deco W

We also won't pay his full wages, does it really matter if MU would cover part of it or if he accepted a pay cut? I'm sure this was done with a number in mind for how much we can register him. Now it's up to Laporta (not Deco) to bring some money to the club and get us back to the Camp Nou so we can finally start to operate like a normal club again.

Not sign Roque for starters. Not making the club look like fools in Nico saga. Don't know. Maybe signing some good player not everyone's grandma knows about. Finding a good deal somewhere? Isn't he paid to for that?
Not chasing EPL overrated players?
Roque is clear and history by now, we don't need to bring that up every time. Especially because we sold him without a book loss in the end.

Where exactly did he fail in the Nico saga? Nico told everyone and their dog he wants to join Barcelona. Bilbao, Barca, all tier 1 journalists, his pal Lamine. Absolute everyone was certain he wants to join, because he said it himself, confirmed by all sources. How could Deco see this coming? It's ridiculous to hang this one on him. If a woman asks you out, whispers all evening she wants you, makes out with you for hours, goes with you to the hotel room and right before getting into bed, gives you the middle finger and leaves, you will blame yourself because you didn't see it coming?

To find a player not every grandma knows about is easy to say, difficult to do. Bayern and Liverpool don't look like they can find someone like that as well. Or why do you think Liverpool demands 100m for Diaz and Bayern is fixed on this overpriced transfer? Do they all have no idea how to do the job? Or maybe there are simply not many wingers available right now who can perform on the highest level?
Should Deco just do a panic transfer for the sake of it, if the club and Flick are not 100% convinced? That's how Abidal and Bartomeu operated and we ended up with players like Boateng.

How is an one year loan a bad business? It's a zero risk transfer, that covers the most urgent position in the squad for the season. It gives the club freedom for a year to look at Rashford, give La-Masia talents a chance to show themselves and maybe a better strategic target will come up. Who could have predicted one year ago that we would end up with Garcia today?

I'm glad, that the club rather takes a short-term solution, to keep the strategic decision open until a winger appears who fully convinces the club.

Doesn’t matter what I would have done as it’s not my job. It’s theirs. A job that they receive millions of euros to do, and they do it terribly. They’re giving some scrub who is literally denied access to United’s facilities and has no cards on his hands, one of the highest salaries in our team. On top of lying and breaking promises almost every day. So, fuck off with that tone. Fans have every right to be furious.

Furious about what???

Who would you have signed and with what money?

How are they doing their job terribly btw? The club is broke. They still won La Liga and should have been in the CL final. However they didn’t make it because the team lacked depth when players got injured.

What does Rashford bring? Oh wow. Depth. Imagine if Raphinha or Yamal got injured last year. The team really would have been even more fucked.

People will whine and complain about everything. Until you can provide an adequate alternative solution you can fuck off.

14M gross for a bum like Rashford, another Deco master class.
The club looks at the entire cost of operation, not just the salary. Rashford will cost the club in total 14m for the season, because he comes with no fee. So what winger would be at least on Rashford's level and cost less than 14m per year in salary + fee?

Exactly. Someone these muppets would really lose their mind about signing.

Gotta be honest I never quite understood the obsession with Perisic.

Especially when the type of left-winger we needed was quite specific. Decent dribbler + very quick.

Obviously if Perisic was like 6 years younger he would have been great.

Deco does a decent job so far. Not great, not bad. But it's true he goes after popular options. Didn't sign anyone as a surprise besides Roony dude.

We will see more about Deco when we will have money to take some chances on the market. Right now... squad still has holes in positions where it is expensive to sign.

There's no such thing as a cheaper attacker than Rashford that could make a difference for us. People that moan about this have no alternatives, they just like to moan.

You don't need a crystal ball. Deco with money would spend 100mil. on Diaz. Probably 50 more on another Roque

And the club pushed already for a better player at a higher cost. It wasn't like we were set only on Rashford. We did this the right way. Looked at a younger option first for many years, wasn't to be, secured the best short term option instead. Nothing to moan about this time.

I would not blame him if he spent big on Diaz. Attacking players that play at a big level are very expensive. I will judge him on defensive signings personally. CB and fullback.

Not hesitating and moving for Garcia is a good sign.

As a backup/rotation option? Sure there were targets available for 20 mil., contract worth 5 mil. spread over 5 seasons.
