By 'functional team' do you mean one that covers for his many, many weaknesses as a footballer? As Juve did? And France (in the one tournament he was good in)?
And a 'functional team' wouldn't stop his moronic moments or stop him giving the ball away by losing it on the halfway line by dilly dallying on it.
It's far too easy to blame everyone but him for how rubbish he was at Scum United.
One of the most overrated players I have seen in 40 years of watching football. People who compare his talent to Platini's and Zidane's should probably be following cricket, not football.

Pogba was among France's most important players.
Was him, Kante and Griezmann. They were the core of the team that also made it work. He had his flaws, but when the team clicked and he clicked he was immense. Mbappe for example doesn't even bother making runs in behind anymore because Pogba was the only one able to feed him. No such player at France anymore. From the midfield at least.
6G + 10A and 13G + 9A in league in the two seasons at Man Utd were they weren't dogshit says as much. When the team was decent he was able to show his best.
Not the type of midfielder that could carry the team though which is why I said from overrated to underrated. Was not worth the price, but he was a top class player at his best.

He had one good tournament - 2018. In 2016 and 2021 he didn't do much. Also, I would suggest he wasn't in France's top four players in 2018. Varane, Kante, Griezmann, Mbappe.
Only idiots wank over stats without watching the games mate, as you are doing. He had that one outlier season statistically I watched most games he played and he was generally awful. His time there and performances there are widely considered a failure, so you're in the vast minority trying to talk them up.
I am also sure he got four assists in one game at the start of the season against a relegation candidate, beefing his stats.

I don't rate him or Rashford in the slightest, that's correct. And many (I would suggest most) people agree with me.

In fact (and not to antagonise you) it gets worse
7 assists in 4 games. That leaves 6 for the rest of the season. Looks like a burst of statistical form more than anything. And doesn't take into account how often he lost the ball and let other teams counter in dangerous spaces. Bruno Fernandes took over this mantle after him.

I do believe what I said and supported some of what i said with evidence, but you're right that my tone was unnecessarily condescending and hostile. Pogba obviously has some degree of talent, but I feel people go over the top about it. And some try to alleviate him of responsibility for Man United days (don't mean you).
