What should the club prioritize

the only position in the first 11 that we should look to address is the Cb

the rest of the team just needs some depth

Yeah, we needed 2 positions fixed in the first 11 above all. GK and CB. One is done, 2nd should follow, but looks like finances are not as well as hoped. If injuries doesn't hit us at the worst time, the first 11 will look great with just a good new CB.

We have 4 CBs with starting potential as well as Garcia as potential 5th. Without anyone leaving, the position is fully occupied with 2 players for each position and Garcia to help out if necessary.

Priority right now is clearly LW. Then maybe a LB backup and look out for a striker as a strategic signing. In my opinion the club should also look for a RW backup. With Ansu and Pau (still leaving?), we lose/t 2 wingers this window. But to find one is already difficult enough.

Always thought the club needed reinforcements with starting 11 quality for GK, CB, LB/RB (but LB is more pressing since Balde gets injured more than Kounde). Never agreed with the prioritization of LW that transpired in the media.

We have players who can play LW at a pinch if somehow Raphinha is not there for an important game. Ferran or Olmo would do better at LW than Martin would cope vs a top right winger for example. Much better for me.

Of course, if we can't register players, we'll have to settle for Garcia and that's about it as far as serious reinforcements go. Which would be a very weak summer compared to our rivals both in Spain and in Europe.

Basically our challenges in Spain have closed the gap while we haven't done anything.

And that's not talking Europe.

Our difference will be laMasia, and Flick.

Flick has said today that 26 will go to Asia, that the ones from LaMasia that have most chances to join are those outside midfield.

Whispers that it will be just Jofre and Virghili, but I think Toni to be there too because he plays across the line. So those 2 (3?) out of the 10.

Calm your panties, the window just opened, Nico said no, let them recover from the heart break and then move forward.

Them taking time for the next move is smart, we don't want them to rush into the next signing, we know how that worked out for us.

Only position in the starting XI that's needs reinforcement in a perfect world is striker, so since that ain't happening, because we didn't get Nico who would have been pretty much a starter and we aren't signing a 9 while lewa is here.

We just need starting 1 starting quality player at LW and a LB ( not happening).

We are good everywhere else she can compete with he best in Europe from a starting XI prospective, just need a bit more depth

The reason we're not signing anyone is because they need to be absolutely sure our auditor will approve the VIP boxes this time and with the stadium return being delayed maybe they fear it could turn into an issue. I doubt they could do the trick of finding a different temporary auditor to approve it as they did the last time. I bet La Liga have already fixed that loophole.

They're not going to spend a lot of money on a player when they're waiting until early to mid-August to find out and also need to register Joan Garcia first. Maybe Rashford becomes an option in the final days of the window.

We should probably pivot to Rashy on loan and signing fullbacks.

What do you think?

Betis just sold that LW to Como for 26 million, and it's questionable if he is any better than Dani R or Jan in LaLiga.

I'll tell you what PSG would do, and a league not run by a Scrotum.

They would loan the player for a year and pay next year. Ala Mbappe, Etitike and countless overs that will be too troublesome to check while using a phone.

I thought about that a few days ago.

Whether you could do a loan + buy option/obligatory purchase next summer without it fucking over any chances of registering the player right now. Don't know what the La Liga rules are with that.

Especially as some people from outside the club believe that with the return to Camp Nou our salary cap will go up enough for registrations issues being a thing of the past starting from next summer.

I think that's what they should do, move for rashford in the next 2-3 weeks, have a conversation with Martin.

Then figure out what they are going with Christensen, if he's staying we are good at RB, if he leaves, that means Garcia is a CB and we need one there as well.

If we get grimaldo and rashford as I said before I'm happy with that.

Not it ain't happening Martin is here to stay, unfortunately 😞 😭

The problem is that Tebas didn't allow that with Felix or Cancelo (loan with + OPTION to buy, let alone mandatory buy) previously.

Now I don't know if it is now acceptable with the revised FFP margins, which seems to suspiciously benefit Madrids summer binge more than ourselves btw as we still seem fucked.

Now I'm wondering if that rule change @khaled_a_d was telling us about was a misunderstanding or has not been fully implemented yet.

Because based on that we shouldn't have any issues signing this summer, if we basically have another 12 months to prove we can afford them for lack of a better word.

I was looking forward to that being the case and we can close two singings relatively easily.

Because one of the biggest hold ups now is the VIP seats which will certainly be done by next summer.

Maybe tebas is just being tebas

If it’s an obligation to buy, amortization of the full fee would start now. Wages plus one fifth of the transfer fee plus loan fee if any.

If it’s an option to buy, Liga’s auditors would look through the paperwork and assess how realistic it is.

In other words, we’d be fucked no matter what.
