Unless it's all done with a purpose. Lying has benefits in politics. Nobody is going to be elected in any position if they say the truth.

I would say pushing the agenda that we're closer to returning than we are in reality has some benefits as well. With not much to lose.

Works will have their own pace no matter what the club says. You can't build the entire stadium in 3 years like they said. 4 years at best is a realistic objective.

It really depends.

If they can make it work so they can return before the CL kicks off and it doesn't affect our FFP situation then it would be fine. At the end no one will care.

But if we have to return to Montjuic which might not even be realistic now or where Barca Atletic plays then it's going to be terrible optics and hit us financially as well for sure since we'll be stuck there until January in the CL.

Think they can make it work for Montjuic for another season if they won't have all the licences by CL time. Don't see why not. It's not like that stadium is in demand. Not like you can do much about it either, make concrete dry faster or smth.

I see high activity at the stadium in videos and that's all you can do really.

But I think they can get it done, maybe not for Gamper, but until september there's almost 2 months.

They need to get it done for September.

As for Montjuic then it was reported that the club decided to not renew their agreement since they were sure of returning to Camp Nou. It's why they also packed up everything from there and sent it to Camp Nou at the end of last season.

They also have some concerts booked like Post Malone in September.

This is not an issue as long as they are able to get the required lisences by September.

Ya I was wondering about that yesterday. And it makes sense.

If the functioning of the seats is required to go into 1:1, then we have to have a functioning stadium.

Otherwise by same token, can't count stadium as expense until it is operational.
Yes.

But in regards specific to the seats. Us not going into the 1:1 last season was because the seats weren't built.
So if that's the premise. Then the seats being operational is also an argument against it.
And it won't go operational until the Stadium fucking opens.

Or else, there shouldn't have been an argument for "the building of seats". If we received money for the seats, it should count towards the FFP.
But when we conceded the argument that they need to be built, then we also have to entertain the argument of it being operational.

That’s pretty standard practice, prepayments are not recognized as revenue before the service is performed or goods delivered. That’s why I never fully bought into the building of the seats argument. That never seemed enough for me.

Local papers estimate Liga removing the VIP seats income had an effect of about 30 million on our FFP. We did free up some space and with potential de Jong renewal, we’d be in a position to do some business.

This way our hands appear tied.
