Hopefully the plan is to send both Yaako and Kochen on loan and promote Astralaga to 3rd GK when Pena leaves.

This would be good even though I think having some old, very cheap vet as 3rd GK is better too.

Loan out all the talented GKs that have grown past Barca Atletic instead of letting them rot on the bench as the 3rd GK.

The only way we'll ever find out if they're legit is when they play top flight football every week.

Astralaga should be allowed to join another club with "buyback + 50%" type of deal. At 21 I would prefer he goes to another club that is willing to invest in him. He isn't really a prospect now.

Kochen and Yaakob should be moved on loans indeed. Not necessarily in Spain btw, just find a club willing to play them as a starter. Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands etc could all be good options for them. I prefer the idea of signing some cheap ancient veteran as 3rd GK.

In reality, I expect Astralaga to stay with first team, Kochen becomes Barca B starting GK another year, and Yaakob getting loaned, only because his agent is forcing the decision on us.

Not sure about this, I've seen Andorra have also signed Jesus Owono who is 24 and has played 10 games in La Liga for Alaves over last two years. So clearly more proven and they also still have Ratti who has lot of experience at this level too. Hope to be wrong but I think it's quite likely Yakoo won't play and we'll be looking for a new club in January.

I sometimes wonder how we are choosing clubs where to loan our youngsters. Do we just let the players decide where they want to go or do we look at interested clubs squads at certain positions and think something like - they only have a 34 year old, often injured RB so our kid could play there a lot - before making decisions.

It's fair to expect from the kids to fight for their minutes at other positions but GK is specific. Clubs usually don't rotate there or make changes unless injuries, suspensions or a really bad form happen.

I think it's very unlikely with his lack of experience Yaako would be a starter at any Segunda team (loan to a Primera RFEF team would be better from that perspective imo). But we put him in a club where he'll probably be a No. 3 and won't even get a chance to prove himself in actual games.

Owono is pretty poor.

Let them fight for that 1. If he can't win it at Andorra then he has no future here.

He won't have future here if he won't play regularly at this age. As said I'm just sceptical if we put him in the best possible situation to succeed. That's what the club can and should do for every loanee, then it's up to them to prove their worth.

Didn't really watch Owono that much and he could be poor for La Liga level and still good (enough) for Segunda. Experience at higher level will also help him. Andorra won't care who is a bigger talent and could be a better player in 3-4 years (when very likely none of these GKs will play for them) but who gives them the best chances to win this season and keep them in Segunda which is their main goal though internally they might have set the bar a bit higher.

Unless there are some contractual obligations (penalties paid if he's not starting for example) then they have zero reasons to use Yaako unless he's clearly better than the other two GKs on their roster. Hopefully he is but I'm unsure about that.

Players have strong say in this, and Yaakob only renewed with a promise of loan, and his agent is Zhavi whom we won't go against an agreed deal with him.

As you say, no Segunda team will promise him starting spot, and even if someone promise it, what prevents them from signing another GK the next week?

If he can't get minutes in newly promoted Andorra, at the age of 19, then that's his fault, not ours.
Same for Astralaga btw

1. I'm not againt loaning him, just saying Andorra is probably not the best club for him but we'll see how much he'll play.

2. Nothing. But we now loaned him to a club that already had two GKs who are probably ahead of him. At least initially.
