Eman Kospo

So far it is only one reporter (Alfredo Pedullà) who reports the deal.
I've no idea how reliable he is, since he is Italian so tough to know since we don't follow those.

Usually, those reports deal in a way favourable to their source, same thing happened with Darvich as German reporter said we have no future sale or anything, just cheap dry sale, it turned out we have both future percent and first refusal.

As the deal develop, we will know the real terms of it. Heck, maybe there won't be a deal at all.
Lets hope thats the case.

People always whine about players like him leaving and 99.9% of the time the club doesn't take a loss.
Its not about him leaving. I understand he might not get enough chances here.
What I am bitching about is not including a buyback in the deal.

But lets hope we did.

BTW this is Kospo.

I don't think we are losing anything special although he just recently turned 18.

With his contract up in 2026 should have atleast tried to renovate him at best, or get a buyback at worst.

Perhaps thought he would get the pre-season call and opted out when didn't, with Flick preferring the physical profile and versatility of Landry.

According to 'Tuttomercato Web' and was able to confirm SPORT, the 'Fiore' will pay about half a million euros for the services of the Swiss. In addition, the Barca will be saved between 15 and 20% of a future transfer. Flick decided not to call Kospo to make the first-team preseason (he has power overbooking) and the boy was not willing to play with the subsidiary in Second RFEF.

From 1m to 500k.

For that amount should have loaned to LaLiga2 and renewed. Pique was willing.

Was Kospo willing, though?
This looks like a bad deal that is likely forced on us. Buyback or first refusal seems like a standard in those deals. Not that it matters, as a player can block such clause if he isn't willing to join again, but weird still that we didn't get it. Seems like he was done with the club.

I had some hopes for him, due to the physical profile and success of the Juvenil team. But watching him, he looks like Araujo with the ball and lacks the athletic ability of the Uruguayan, and being big is his main advantage.

I don't know. Media speculate that the reason for his exit is that he expected to be part of Flicks pre-season.

I guess if the club wanted him then he could have been part of the group and then recommended to go on loan.

But seems other factors played a part. As you say, he is not that spectacular. I think Natali looked better, and well, you can see it hasn't been all roses for him at Bayer. And now Xabi is gone anyways.

He trained several times with the first team at the end of last season, so I think it is fair assumption that Flick didn't rate him highly, for now.
But the club can't hand preseason for every player that demands it, especially an 18 years old kid who still didn't make it to the B team. I think it is within the club rights to do so if they don't see it fitting. If this is his reaction, then I can see the reason of selling him.
