Gonzalo Garcia has a release clause of 50m. If Casado had one at 50m as well I don't think we'd be seeing rumours of 30-40m being tossed around, but rather that clubs are willing to pay his clause.

Garcia is also a "shiny new toy" while Casado is a bit forgotten after being sidelined for a few months. Like it or not there is always some recency bias.

Their position also plays a role, strikers are always valued higher than other positions. Whether that's deserved for most of them or not it's another question but good scorers don't grow on trees so it's normal clubs are willing to pay to find one (ofc doesn't always work).

People should also take media rumoured fees with a pinch of salt. Gonzalo's updated value on TM from a week ago is 8m. Will RM sell him for that price now that he made a breakthrough as one of their rare HG players to do so in how many years? No. But they probably would sell for around that price with a buy-back if Carlo would still be around and wouldn't give the kid a chance.

OTOH Casado's value on TM is 30m. Barca also won't sell him for that price. So these debates how one player is higher valued just because he plays for Madrid are pointless imo.

Meanwhile Real Madrid sold 22 year old Castilla player Victor Munoz to Osasuna for 5m. Yes that Vitor Munoz, the one who missed the one on one in El Clasico.

The Navarrese club will pay €5,000,000 for fifty percent of his economic rights, to which an additional €1 million could be added depending on the player's performance. The forward's release clause will be €40,000,000 on LaLiga EA Sports. Through the agreement reached, Real Madrid reserves a buy-back option on the player at the end of the next three seasons.
