1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Why did we renew Tek? I mean I understand if we had a deal made for Ter Steven, but given how we knew this was going to be tough ...what was the point exactly of renewing Tek? Small salary or not...

Because he is cheap and we need a good bench keeper. Stegen will hit the stands until he leaves. Solid approach, too bad it took this long.

As much as I want ter Stegen gone you cannot blame him or any other player for the club being unable to close signings or make any due to the salary cap situation…

No, my only gripe is with Barto. I get presidents making mistakes, they all do, but feck this guy chained them like Tek chains his cigarettes. One after another, after another.

I don't blame MATS but you can't blame only Barto either, another president gave MATS his last extenison.

And when will Laporta be responsible for the club's finances? Will it be Barto's fault 20 years from now too?

Even if we pay his remaining salary as a percentage, cant it be done through the deferral system, like we did for the Amigos.
And seeing that those payments didn't count towards our FFP.
Wouldn't it be a solution to free up wage space?

Yeah, that's the way it works. Every board blames the one before.
It's a main flaw with the club structure.

Of course, I wouldn't expect nothing different from a politician like Laporta. My statement was more targeted at his fans who count only the good things Laporta does as his success but always blame Barto for all the bad things. Barto was a piece of shit but Laporta is here almost 5 years, he sold a shitload of our future with levers and we still can't register anybody normally. When will it become Laporta's fault?

When does what become laporta's fault exactly?

Where would be without those levers ?
Where would be without building a new stadium?
Have we ever failed to register a player?

When does what becomes Laporta's fault? The significantly better place we are in economically then we were when he came in?.

It's his fault that we aren't yet back to the availability to have 700m euros salary cap?

You know who's actual fault that is?

It becomes Laporta's fault after he leaves after his 2nd term.

The stadium is complete.

The economic plan is fully rolled out and implied.

If after doing all we are doing to stabilize while competing, instead of just giving up on being competitive like some wanted and is the easy way out.

Those same people celebrate our success these days and call it a miracle, but that's a conversation for different day.

If after everything comes together and we are still fucked, it's laporta's fault.

Having some hiccups to register players and having never failed to do so, I don't even know what to call that, it's like whining about freaking construction delays lol.

Bartos board almost ruined the club, we shouldn't forget that just because things are looking better now. The 400M (just think about that number) they burned on 3 misfits and the huge contracts were pure insanity.

Like it's impossible to even find a comparison, that's levels not even oil clubs waste money...and they have unlimited cash unlike Barca.

It's perfectly reasonable to connect all financial troubles from the past couple years and in the future years to that time period. It will still take years for the club to fully recover, and some things can't be made up anyway - like who knows how many titles Barca could've competed for if it wasn't for the limitations on the transfer market.

Hansi Flick has been very honest and direct with Ter Stegen during yesterday's meeting. He told him that he won't play with him this season, and that Joan García and Szczęsny are ahead of him. Despite this, Ter Stegen still wants to stay. He wants to be close to his children and new girlfriend, who's Catalan. @RogerTorello, @martinezferran
