Everybody is talking about endless money at PSG. But defense was already there when Lucho came in, bar Pacho of course. And the other top performers he bought weren't even that expensive, by today's standards.
Nothing Barca couldn't swing, but we blew 120M on Ferran + Olmo instead of scouting for likes of Kvara, Barcola, Doue, Neves
Why everytime comparing bad deals with good one? Like comparing kounde, pedri, raphinha with goncalo ramos, kolo muani and etikite?

Psg is making good shots out of a massive number of bad deals but it is ok for them because of unlimited money.

There are clubs like real madrid who nearly never make bad deals because everybody wants to join them for free, clubs like psg and city and clubs like united who spend much but only make bad deals.
But i dont know what chelsea is doing, it looks like they try to spend like oil clubs but only buy medium level players. This club wc is no comparison for chalsea, they had no real opponent. Champions league is way harder than this

We could have signed same those forwards but it's different

PSG has nothing to fear when they make such deals. He flops, okay? Big deal. Just sign another player

Meanwhile for us he flops and we are screwed. Because we are not really in a position to sign multiple 60m+ players

This is the reason no clubs were after Kvara. Everybody knew the guy is class but his form in Napoli dipped tremendously. It's always hard to buy a player like that who is absolutely shit in his current club. Unless of course you know you can just buy another one if he flops

Correct, but they made some better deals once Lucho understood what's needed.

PSG has the luxury to sign lots of players but that's offset by the fact they don't have the same pull as Barca or Madrid.

When we were stable financially we also employed this strategy of signing lots of players and most of them weren't successful.

Madrid and Barca were ahead of the oil clubs when it came to splashing the cash.

PS: Pedri was signed by Barton years ago, why include him in the deals made by current Barca administration?

Yeah, he had a year to figure things out and what he wanted. Maybe he lucked out, but all things point to him knowing what's needed for the system to work.

Plus their league isn't as taxing as other leagues (for them anyway as they're by a mile the best team in it).

That's a double-edged sword because it allows them more rest for CL games, but also means they don't get the plaudits they deserve sometimes (as I said above I think this current incarnation could win PL or La Liga too over a 38 game programme).
