That was an awful lot in football money in 2005. Zidane was still the world record at about £46 million.

But still a bargain for a player such as he was to become.

The amazing thing about him - as I have said many times before - is that his stats are amazing but don't even tell half the story about him (unlike certain 'other' players). You have to watch the guy play to full appreciate what a genius he is.

He's the Beethoven/Mozart of football.
