Club World Cup

Alonso is good but the team he has is completely different what he would probably want. It's a lot of random pieces put together or the same pieces over each other.

Just can't see how this can be glued together properly. I would switch many players from their lineup.

He can glue them, as he is a great coach. Let's hope Hansi will always be a step ahead of him

There is one thing I think he might not be able to fix: Mbape's coexistence with Vinicius.
They both want to be in the same spaces.
Reminds me of our attempt to make Messi coexist with either or both of Griezman and Coutinho.
It could never work

And I think he wants to press. This team can't press. They are way too lazy for it to actually work. That's going to hurt his ideas a lot.

There's a reason why Ancelotti played the way he played. That was the best option for that team. Of course now they have few new players but I don't think it's going to change the whole identity of the team. Too many same players with the same flaws. Midfield can't hold the ball etc.

If Lucho wanted he could have fucked him 7-0, 8-0 today

Ofc just took over but after such a disasterclass we have the right to troll

Of course. They are the best team in Europe this season. The team to beat.
A well-oiled machine

Seems, though, that most of you haven't learned the lesson of football, that Rome wasn't built in a day.
Don't be hasty to jump to any conclusions about coaches in their early days

The only conclusions i would make based on this money grab tourney are Huijsen and TAA. Other than that, its non-sense really considering we have barely entered transfermart, and its clear there will be additional changes.

As for Xabi. He has solid ideas. The only thing i worry is situation upfront, considering Vini and Mbappe are like water and oil essentially.

How much Real spent already? Arnold and signing bonus and all. A lot. I guess with the World Cup money and Rodrygo sale they could still buy someone. Probably midfielder.

As ManU fans would say

Wasn't built by an idiot either

Just kidding. Not writing Alonso off but it will take some time before he fits everything together

On the other hand Flick machine is already well drilled and we might take advantage of this next season domestically.

🤣 Madrid.
Alonso is at the wrong club if he wants to make this team run hard and press. They can do it in spurts but not consistently. Also for Alonso system or any pressing system to work everyone has to press. Thr forwards are just too lazy and the midfield lacks composure.
Madrid will compete in la liga but CL highly doubtful.
Football is more of a system game nowadays. Lazy, individual stars can hinder team success.
