Marcus Rashford

A Man u bloke told me there is little chance Man U would want to loan Marcus, as he and Garnacho are only players they could earn serious money on this transfer window.

Even if true, Barca should hold firm ground. Loan is better than nothing.
He's half right. Some clubs might be tempted to punt on Rashford at like 50m, but only if his wages were normal. he's on an astronomical salary at United due to the reactionary idiots increasing it after that purple patch season he had in 2023. Hence, now they cannot get rid of him (to be fair it was a different board at the time I believe, not INEOS).

There's no real upside (for them) to them loaning him out, unless the receiving club pays a substantial portion of his wages. I guess they view him as toxic and just want him away from the place entirely.

Sources say Rashford is willing to lower salary if proper club comes along.

Well I didn't know that and that potentially changes things. However, I personally don't rate him much and never have, so even on a lower salary I wouldn't pay a hefty transfer fee for him. But some in football might disagree. The fact there's little noise about him moving though shows that clubs either don't rate him or have believed United's noise that he is toxic (or both).

United and Amorim have handled it terribly - by outing Sancho, Rashford and Garnacho as problems, they've tanked any prospectively good transfer fees they might have received for some of them.

Good. Don’t give United fans the joy of him leaving. Take a read on their subreddit, there’s literally no one they hate and want to see gone as much as this big mouthed loser. Not Sancho, not Anthony, not Onana, not Garnacho, but this fucker. That the clearest signal we will ever get to stay far away from him.

Aye, let him retire there. They made their bed and now have to lie in it. They fell for his hype in the past, extravagantly rewarded him, and must now pay the price that's he's not as good as they hoped, and doesn't wanna be there either.

Why would someone let them off the hook with him? Or any of the other players they're desperate to sell.

Let them rot.

If you think Antony , garnacho and Sancho are anywhere close to radhfords level you have to be high.

Not to mention united fans want all three of them gone too

You must be reading the wrong threads

I’d take Antony and Garnacho over that toxic clown all day, and I absolutely despise that wannabe Argentinian CR7 worshipper, as I stated many times before.
Of course they want them all gone, that’s why I mentioned those players, but none of them as much as Rashford. We should know better than to take care of United’s garbage. The same disgusting club and fanbase that would want to see us wiped off the map as a club, while overpaying and twerking for every has-been Real Madrid send their way. Watch them pay 100M for Rodrygo later this summer while their fans will be celebrating like they signed prime Leo.

Aye they are a cunt of a club. Cannot stand them and their little brother like arse-licking of Real.

I can't stand Garnacho either, btw. He's a very mediocre player too. And doubt he will get better.

It would be a loan. Nobody is giving them a transfer fee for Rashford.

On a 1 season loan under Flick he could be useful and he'll be motivated to play for England at the World cup, after that he returns to United. A stop gap loan.

Their hands are so tied up in this case that I would only accept if they cover the majority of his salary. He is a rotten apple in their locker room, only causing problems. They want him and his journalist mouthpiece out at all costs.

Henry Winter (if you are referring to him) is an absolute hack. Totally clueless about football and I have no idea why anyone rates him.

Some of the sycophantic pieces he has written about those INEOS clowns are laughable too. His track record is appalling.

Low transfer fee for a permanent deal is not that bad for me. Especially since he can cover several positions.

Main issue with loans is if the player does well, you lose him after a season and you are back in the same place, needing a new LW and so on.

Also, he's not old. Not even 28 yet.

Loan is ideal because it protects us in case he flops, and buying him is better in case he does well. Sadly you never know with guys like Rashford. On one hand, he didn't suddenly forget football, on the other hand Flick is ruthless with behavior issues.

Also, that depressing trainwreck of a team that is current United can take the joy of playing football out of many players, especially ones that played there many years and saw little to no improvement.

You only prefer Antony cause of his loanspell at Betis lol.

Maybe exactly what Rashford needs.

And you shoudn’t want Garnacho before Rashford.

This guy had a very good case of fulfilling his potential back in 2019-2020. He had some pretty good seasons during those years and then after 2023 just fell apart and never recovered. Now he's what, 27? Don't consider him to be beyond a mid-table player at this point.
