Yeah, surely lack of professionalism. Eventually, it's about how much you love the competitive side of top level football. If you are a really big competitor, your self esteem won't allow you to become a joke at your main skill.

If you're only in it for the money and the girls, then your competitive level is average. You're not cut out for the big things.

Pro footballers have a very short career, like 15-20 years at most. Its a job for them.

99.9% of players wants to earn as much money as possible (and winning trophies if they are already at top clubs).

He has plenty of confidence on the pitch and off the pitch looked composed and assured when talking to the press.
If I wanted to delve into it I would say it could be self-esteem issue.
