Yup, Alonso has been doing that since the start of the tournament. He wants a regista type of player there, and, since no such transfer yet, he plays Arda there
He has also given free roles to all mds he plays, apart from Tchou who is the ancor: he moves between DM and 3rd CB depending on plays.
Alonso also unearthed that Garcia talent.

I have told you guys: Madrid will be having a proper coach next season for the first time in 10 years if not more.
There will be tactical identity, there will be ideas, there will be promotions from the academy, and everything in general we associate with good coaches. The 'go out and play' that was the only instruction up to now, will unfortunately stop

We need to be alert and realize that we should be even better to maintain our domestic and european lead on them...

No. I am not looking at the 4/4 losses against us. Just thinking about strengths and weaknesses. Your mf won’t hold candle to ours. Arda could get heavily exposed. Ur defense will be better. But Courtois as usual will need to put in a few wc saves. But this time we might have a keeper that can do the same.

Not trying to be arrogant, but that’s how I feel at this moment. But overall you guys seem already stronger than last.
If I am wrong call me out. No problem.

Its a step in the right direction for Real.

They obviously needed this tournament and winning the Summer Mercado Cup to change perception, and they seem to have done that.

PSG game will tell us more of their trajectory.

Fair enough.

The only thing that works against Guler is his inexperience. Other than that, he has the potential to develop into world class CM. Though i would still go after a proper CM and ditch Ceballos. In that case, i fancy our chances.

As for defense, its really no comparison already at this point. Last season was the worst Madrid i have ever seen in my life. While upfront tons of fire power to be unleashed.

Anyway, it should be a cracking game. Cannot wait to be honest.
