I'm not sure Bernal will make it mostly because we've seen what happened with Ansu after injury. But if there won't be any setback and he fully recovers I think talent-wise he's a level or two above Casado.
That said Casado is clearly more than a useful squad player but would definitely lean towards selling him if we get an offer of around 40-50m. Don't expect that to happen though. Chelsea's supposed interest is probably BS. They already have tons of DM talents and Casado is not exactly the high upside player they usually look to sign.

Even if we put aside for a moment the major injury that Bernal suffered, talent is only a part of the equation. There is always a high chance a player does not live up to the talent shown at youth levels.
On the other hand, Casado is more proven, having comfortably played as a starter during half the season.
For this reason, I would bet Casado has a higher chance at success than Bernal.
My preference is to keep both for this season and see what happens.

Yeah, don't disagree with your points and I would keep them both this season too. Not saying we should sell Casado at all costs, just at what price range I would consider a sale. And considering a sale/listening to offers doesn't always mean to actually sell the player.
But if we are looking from potential/talent perspective I see Casado more as a Roberto and Bernal could be a Busi if everything works out well for him. Not necesarrilly comparing them playing style wise though there are ofc similarities in their game but more about their importance to the team (and ofc I'm aware Sergi was a starter for years too but at a different position).
Also not saying Bernal will ever be nearly as good as prime Busi which is a very high standard almost impossible for anyone to reach and I don't like to compare kids nowadays to all time greats anyway. It's more fair to compare them with players they are playing against in the same era. I believe general level of football is also decreasing so in future you won't need to be anywhere near as good as Messi/Busi to be considered among the best players at your position. And here is where I believe IF (and it's a big IF) everything works out well for Bernal he can become that type of player in 3-4 years while I don't see the same happening with Casado.
But injury in this crucial stage of his career will clearly have a big impact on Bernal, not just a recovery process but also missing a year of development - training and getting playing time experience at the top level.

He was amazing as a stunt last season, but I agree I am not sure if he can repeat that. I would sell for 50mil too.
He is our own Verratti how long we have been chasing him now we have our own Verratti type of player we want to sell...the only players currently like him are
Vitinha and j neves are PSG going to sell any of them even for 100 m they won't
FDJ is great have been saying for yrs but he needs a back up
If anyone should be sold then IMO the should ship out Fermin and Araujo

Easily one of our best midfielders when fit and his minutes are rationed out properly. His pressing and intensity is vital against teams of equal stature and playing style.
You can get far and cover many inadequacies with will, gritt and tenacity.
Big plus for me is his love for the club and being homegrown.

He's already shown he's much more valuable than Gavi. If anyone is the odd man out, including Bernal, it's Gavi at the moment.
