How many European Cups/Champions Leagues have Barca thrown away?

09/10 and 11/12 were the worst.

09/10 we lost because we traded Eto'o for Ibra. Simple. I don't see us ever losing against Inter if they have Ibra and we still have Eto'o. A proven big game warrior and sniper against a Youtube footballer and statue who is incompatible with Messi.

11/12 it was even worse. When you play Fabregas, Sanchez, Cuenca and put Iniesta as LW you should expect to create a lot of chances and burry none of them. 2-2 at home in a must win game against 10 men Chelsea coached by Di Matteo while already 2-0 up at half time has to be one of the stupider results of all time.

These were the worst. In that time frame Barca was 2 levels above anyone else and could only beat itself. Everything after like Anfield season or last season doesn't even come close. Winning CL with Roberto, Vidal, Busquets, Rakitic, Coutinho, Pique, Alba, Lenglet in 2019 wasn't expected to begin with despite going into semi final 2nd leg with 3 goal lead. Winning it last season wasn't expected either with a bunch of kids and injuries. But 09/10 and 11/12? The worst.

2010 and 2019 definitely. maybe 2012 too.

who says 2025 has lost his marbles. biggest team we faced in the KOs was the worst inter of the last years and they still managed to put 7 past us.

Keep deluding yourself into believing that. It was very clear that once Inter realised their depth problem they sacrificed everything for the CL. Once they reached their breaking point, which was the Barcelona game at San Siro, they couldn't do anything more than that.

same Inter who got demolished in the cup by a poor Milan. same Inter who lost the league vs an unimpressive Napoli.

it was the worst Inter of the past 3 seasons. not a bad team, but not great either.

case can be made about us having a great opportunity to reach the final, considering the opponents we faced. but we weren't better than PSG.

Yeah but it doesn't always work like that. Inter always play the game of their lives against Barca no matter what timeline. At this point we are somehow a bigger rival to them than Milan from their POV. Going past Barca is always a trophy for them.

We take the lead against them with 3 minutes left and they somehow don't give up and give it all they got in extra time. Doesn't matter that their squad average age is 50. Against Barca in minute 110 they still fight to death.

PSG score one early goal and their heads already drop in a CL final and they look defeated as if they don't give a shit about the CL trophy.

Chelsea is the other team that I would never put money on to beat even if they missed 5 starters while we were on a 20 win streak.

PSG is a much better team than Inter but I'd give us higher chances against PSG. They are a team used to possession and dominating which they can't fully against Barca, especially this young Barca under Flickball.

Like I said, it was clear Inter was focusing entirely on the UCL once they realised they don’t have the depth for a treble. How can you convince me that who we lost to was the worst Inter team in the last few years, I could say that 2022-23 version was considerably worse as well as 2021-22. Inter battled to the literal death against Barcelona and anything after that was nothing because they lost all their energy on our tie.

Exactly, Inter was extra motivated to play against Bayern and us. They really have something against Barcelona, they always show themselves as the underdog when they play us. They play their skins out against us and they always win unfortunately.

every team that eliminated us when we were the better team on paper has played their hearts out. what's your point really?

My point is just because Inter screwed up before and after our tie doesn't make them the worst Inter team in recent years. They also lost the league a week before they played the UCL final so they definitely took a mental hit before going to Munich which explains the deflated performance. But it was very obvious that Inter truly sacrificed everything for the UCL and there's reason to it since they need the money and they haven't won it for 15 years. They sold their souls to win that game is how I see it.

I don't know how people are giving excuses for the Iner game this year. We literally threw the game away. What was it? 2 mins left? We were a goal ahead? A proper football team with an actual brain would do the obvious and end the game. We were in their corner flag, we had control, and we threw it away by attempting hard plays whilst playing a high line. With 2 or 3 mins left.

It was so fucking dumb. A Madrid, PSG, Liverpool, or any other fucking team in the world wastes time in the corner flag and plays it safe defensively. We play suicide football.

Some people cope and say "well we would've lost against PSG anyways lol" yeah sure. If we get another chance like this next year, Flick needs to understand that he doesnt need to play suicide football 100% of the time. Compromisw. 95% of the time won't turn you into Atletico Madrid.

Me neither. For me it's worse than the Liverpool, Bayern, or Roma matches. Our first final in a decade was right there and we threw it away. All because they were too fucking retarded to waste time when there's 3 mins left.
Biggest tragedy this club has ever seen Imo. No other tragedy can come close to this man. I’ve been watching Barcelona since 2018, and the happiest I ever been was Raphinha’s goal against Inter in Milan. It’s the hope that kills you 💔
