Club World Cup

You're welcome
One more round but then they gotta go. Winning this thing will be a bigger boost than the fatigue will be a negative.
I don’t think so.

Cause it took away the opportunity for players to mentally reset.

But who knows. Real players might get holidays during preseason since this tournament could be considered part of prep work.

How Madrid fans watch their team I will never know. It's the most basic, low grade stuff.

Hail Mary cross at the first opportunity. Any loose balls around the box ? Shoot the ball immediately.

There's absolutely no interplay, no creativity, no teamwork, no running with the ball, no intent to dominate the game or the ball.

It's like watching an expensive Stoke City.

Cules are blessed. :flick:

They only care about triophies and results, not about the beauty of their game, they are as close to a plastic/glory hunter definition as it gets.

- I already gave you one example (sneak peek)

- All the other players like Vini, Kvaratskhelia, Doue, and Olise can also kick the ball through or around a player, but Messi is still the number 1 in dribbling in the whole tournament ahead of all other players at the age of 37-38 and shows that he still got it.

- Again, he's injured so common sense dictates that a player would rather pass the ball than run with the ball. Also when situation dictates, he would pass than dribble even in open space (in 18/19 vs Liverpool game away, his pass to Coutinho to which Coutinho fluffed it is one example)

Shot power and precision is still there. See below

Acceleration, I'll give you that because that's only natural with age, but it's still good enough in Europe.

I watch all of Messi's games, including friendlies and see his news everyday. From the news provided, I know all the ins and outs of him and the players (injuries, team morale, formation and tactics) while you are basing everything about the player based on 1 game only, so you don't know all the context. So yes, I would be a more objective person in this scenario.

Well, you watch Messi against fodder MLS teams, so in that context the abilities he still has get overblown, while the ones he doesn't do not appear to be a problem. I waited for the PSG game to see, after 2 years, what's his level against top opponents. Simple...

All the players you mention have the ability to take on the opponent, and run like crazy with the ball. I explained you how dribbles are calculated. If you can retain the ball by avoiding the opponent, yet do not gain meters on him, that's a problem and it shows against good team.

What you posted shows Messi free taking his time to kick the ball. That's closer to a free-kick or a corner. When I talk about power/precision I refer to cases of shooting under pressure. He used to shove those in, despite the pressure.

Real stand no chance against PSG under normal circumstances.
I say this because we know in football anything can happen. City went out to Al Hilal the other day

But I also think Dortmund can pose them problems. Bigger bar than Juve

The Juve keeper was absolute insane, without him Real would have won with 3-4 goals difference but even City won 5-2 vs them so that proves nothing

Now Dortmund vs Real in quarter final ⚡️⚡️
