In January Barca announced they were back in the 1:1 regime thanks to a 100m VIP seats sale but Liga never confirmed that. In February, the SCL was raised from 426m to 463m. In April, Liga cuts Barca's cap again and throws the 100m sale out but the new cap was never published:
The reason was, that LaLiga's auditor said the seats were not built yet, so they wouldn't accept the money as income. That has changed now, all the VIP seats Barca sold their rights to use and resell, are finished. They're located in the players' zone, not the VIP rings that are still being built. So LaLiga is forced to accept the €100m now, if they don't come up with some new excuse and I think that's why the club is confident to get back into the 1:1 rule.

edit:
Not to mention that all deferred salaries will be finally paid out today, so starting tomorrow the Masa Salarial which directly incluences the spanish ffp for the new season should be freed by this amount.

The entire La Liga FFP is idiotic. You need to be allowed to invest money, improve the squad, to raise revenue back up. How are you gonna do that if the authority who is supposed to help the clubs smacks you down the head whenever you try to improve your squad and boost your revenue.

Barcelona is worth many billions. There is no bankrupcy on the table for a club valued at that much and sitting on so many assets. We could sell Yamal and solve all of our FFP issues in an instant. But how does that benefit La Liga?

Complete shite.

With that increase, we were just barely able to legally register Olmo and Pau Victor. With 1M or so as extra margin.

And this with 100M vip sale (or was it 200M? I lost track). An amount we aren't receiving again.

Then, we renewed half of the squad, so players cost even more now.

Then we bought Joan García.

OTOH, we get back to Camp Nou, we have good chunk of the deferred salaries done. Those are favourable factors.

There are reasons there is folks getting paid well for such head spinning calculations

463m is the last public figure, but we don't know the internal working figure the league uses once they stripped the 100m sale.

We should learn where we stand soon.

As for the reasons the cost side's rising:
- Yamal went from almost nothing to 15-20m, let's say 15m jump
- Araujo from 9 to 12-15, say 4m jump
- Olmo played under a half season licence, his costs on the books double after the proper registration
- Garcia should take 7-8m on the books
- other renewals? I'm lazy to check

But the biggest factor remains the new limit.

I'll throw this one into the mix too: https://www.barcablaugranes.com/202...ion-to-register-joan-garcia-and-nico-williams
So you guys mean the 37m increase was eaten up by Dani Olmo, Pau Victor, and increases in salary with renewals.
Damn.

That also means come Sept 2025, when LaLiga comes out with a new salary cap, which is more likely to be higher than the Feb one, that can be used to register some players?
Since this new salary regime in the club was made in accordance to the Feb 2025 salary cap?

What I mean is that it is a dynamic situation. Expenses and income aren't consistent, they always change.

The fans seems to make calculations thinking it is consistent process.

Too bad Barca doesn't have some sponsor in Qatar to pay De Jong 10m bonus if he promotes a camel race in Doha, and register him with a lower salary.

Wouldn't be surprised. Barca already partner with 1XBet, the Russian bookmaker, that let customers bet on ridiculous "sports" available - snail races, cockfights and Russian futsal amateurs. Sports farming I guess is the term.

Of course it's not only 1XBet. Stake do the same and many other lesser known bookies.
