Trent Alexander-Arnold

I don't remember that.
He and his family were allegedly threatened in the summer after they won the CL in 2005, when he was wanting to leave for Mourinho's Chelsea. I remember it at the time and it's pretty much an open secret. He has very strong links to Liverpool's (and other places in UK and Ireland) underworld as Don says. so wouldn't surprise me if he's always been into all sorts of dodginess.

I guess another reason to add to why Gerrard was much more threatened than Trent (in addition to the ones Don's wrote) is that Gerrard was coming off all the hype of the CL Final, so he will have been seen as a messiah in Liverpool, much more than Trent is now, and they could never have him leave. Plus there's the fact that Liverpool are a stronger team now than they were in 2005 and can get by anyway.

The point is that Gerrard isn't the loyal Liverpool lad he is made out to be - far from it - and it's one of the myths of Gerrard's career that he is.

Trent actually spoke Spanish pretty well in his player presentation for Real Madrid.

He definitely made up his decision on join them ages ago, no wonders Liverpool fans are pissed about it.

Funny how a Liverpool ITK guy mentioned several weeks ago on how Trent was learning Spanish.

I was going to post a joke line saying Paddy Pemblett has let himself go.

Until I actually realised that IS Paddy Pemblett and he has actually let himself go  .

Trent is going to be the undoing of this Madrid team going forwards.

Madrid never needed help scoring goals. But they always relied on parking the bus to close out tight games. Trent is never going to be that and so they will always be forced to go for it late in games.

Also he is fried chicken if Nico Williams comes into the squad. Hell both RM flanks are currently in big trouble as currently built.

RM fans will hype their team but lets be real they played a random Mexico club, Salzburg who is just never a threat and Al Hilal. Let's see them against somebody decent.

Meh, players like that have little to no actual allegiance or loyalty. Easy to be a casual fan of Barca in 2015.

Valverde RW? Or Jude, Trent, Valverde in a mid 3? None of those options scares me tbh.
I think they will go away from the 3 attackers. Brahim isn't really a RW and Rodrygo looks to be leaving.

I saw Valverde a lot on the left side today.

Vini/Mbappe
Jude
Valverde/Trent
Tchoumeni
Carreras/Huijsen/Militao/Carvajal

Trent basically does what Kimmich did. Trent is a good passer and they will at least try it at some point. That midfield today looked totally trash.

Jude/Valverde/Tchoumeni midfield will never beat the press enough to be good. The passing is not there and those players are better made for fast paced games. If they run 433 with an AM those 2 DMs will get smashed with Bellingham trying to get goals.

Also what leads me to believe is who is the RW going to be? No damn way they stick with Brahim Diaz there. Rodrygo is likely sold. Mastantuono did look pretty sparky today but he has 0 experience.

Think he's poor when pressed tho. Being able to execute his long passes from wider and deeper is a lot different to doing it and running a game in the nitty gritty in the middle of the park. There's so much more to than being a pretty passer.

Think he'd struggle in that role.
