As much as I love him. There is no need to extend Raphinha. As of now.
His contract is till 2027. He will 30. Lets see how he plays next season.

I am even fine with him leaving at 2027, if we get a replacement.
No need to act like cucks. Wait and see how he performs next season.
Get a Starter winger first, and see if he accepts a reduced role or a different role.

Fabrizio Romano: Joan Laporta: “Barça will earn around €950m. That’s almost a billion euros”.

“We’re very confident that we’ll be within the 1:1 rule” TV3.

Great news.

:tito:
Should give us quite a headroom to go for some quality players.
On top we will have Camp Nou revenue from next year.
Levers must be pulled to get a striker and a LW.
No excuses.

Nou Camp revenue will be used to pay for the reconstruction.
It'll be divided by three according to Laporta. A third will be used to repay the construction, a third will be invested into the team and a third for other, unforeseeable financial expenses.

Can someone explain to me why a lot of people are saying that we have the urge of signing a lw as a primary objective? Raph this season in this role hit the world class numbers that we didnt have since probably the best attacking trio in history of the game. As much as i disliked him and thought that he was useless, but his numbers, workrate, grit would be replaced by exactly who? And what he would bring more then raph? Seriously, splashing 60-80m on winger that, most likely in the important games would be a bench warmer is stupidity.

SIGN A FUCKING STRIKER NOT WINGER.

We have both Lewa and Torres who are both starting caliber strikers atm, when healthy, the team played great with either.

The reason for a winger was explained by Deco, we are Raphinha and Lamine dependent. The moment you lose one or both we are putting a 3rd division level player like Fati or Pau Victor.

The idea is to relief those two and have another sub option on the wings.

Look at Valladolid game, they are a team that didn't have a win but we looked as toothless as it gets with our attack and had to put Raph and Lamine to get the win

But why high profilic target? Lewa is done for this kind of football, as a sub he's fine bit its not worthy of his salary. Ferran as a st is not good enough but he proved what pacey beast could do in attack.
Our season in cl ended because 1. First st not available
2. Both of our fb's were not available
We should reinforce those positions.

Ferran is a good squad option that can cover wing and st position.
Olmo can cover that too.
Fermin on lw could also do the trick.
Out of 50 games in a season cca, consider that both raph and lamine would play if not injured in 40 at least.

We need both.
Striker because to me both doesnt cut it when the time comes in March 2026. Both are a backup to a Striker and not Starter material for the whole season.
We need a LW because, if any of Yamal or Raph needs rest or God forbid gets injured we are fucked. And NO, Olmo, Ferran or Fermin dont work there. We have seen it this seaosn, its a makeshift option and only works for a portion of the game.

And there are not many competend LW in the market. To me these are the only ones we should look at:
- Rashford if on Loan and We only pay portion of his wages.
- Puado for free, his contract is getting finishing. But having him wont give me that much of a confidence agaisnt better teams.
- Lookman. This is my number one favorite. Should cost around 50m or cheaper, with lower wages. Solves both of our issues LW and ST. Is a workhorse, and wont throw a fit if on bench. Very similar to Raphinha as a profile. And we need player like him.

Striker was 100% not the first reason we lost CL, we scored 6 goals in that tie, attack wasn't an issue until the end when they were gased and we had to play Lewa who wasn't healthy.

Why was our attack gased at the end? Because we didn't rest them.

There isn't a striker we can afford that will be an upgrade over either Lewa or Torres.

Why high profile is a good question, but the thing is we don't know if it is true. As it stands now Deco and Laporta confirmed the interest in a winger, and Laporta said it isn't Nico. Diaz rumours is mostly from unreliable journalists who are copying each other, we will see if it is true.

I agree that we really missed our two starting full-backs. This was one of the main reasons for our exit, since we could only replace them with average substitutes — though Garcia is actually pretty decent.

Just imagine how the tie would have gone if either Rapha or Lamine had been injured. Or both of them!

We wouldn't have got past Benfica. So, I think a versatile winger with starter potential should be a high priority this summer. There will be enough playing time for three wingers to share.
