That's because his teammates are too gimped to give him an outlet when needed. He's more defended then Messi was since teams know Yamal's on his own unlike Messi.

2 things should be his priority in the summer break. Gaining muscle mass and practice finishing.

He's young, but you can see he makes loads of bad decisions on the pitch. Quite normal for his age, but his decision-making has to improve a lot in the next seasons... or...

Better decisions than his teammates most of the time. Don't known what you are talking about.
Most mature 16 yo player I have seen..

Referring to the ample space he had in the 2nd half. He didn't use it well.

Yea, no comment about the age. Plays great for his age.

He gets crowded out and has no support from Kounde through runs. Gundo ignored him several times and no one passed the ball during a run, only when he was against two defenders he got the ball because nobody knows what else to do with it and they throw the hot potato to a teenager.

Yamal cannot and will never be effective over large areas. He lacks good speed for this.

His style is to receive the ball while standing in a positional attack, and then move from the flank into the penalty area by dribbling.
