4 - Ronald Araújo

There's more that comes into play. Like set pieces, maybe having a target man to play directly on him, someone who can keep the ball and wait for support. Lewandowski was very good in the first leg at that.

Taking Yamal out was the right decision imo, as hard as it was for the kid.

Yamal is the only guy who can drive the ball forward, attack is the best defence. In second half Lewa came 3-4 times to receive the ball at the halfway line but he isnt the player for this task.

Lads talking about financial ramifications like they didn't know we were expected to be dismantled once we face one of the big boys.

Get a grip and realise we would have been in a position beyond our current squad, playing level and manager.

I never rated Araujo as high as many people did. Mainly because I find him rudimentary and relying too much on his physique.

Since Kounde is starting to replicate his Sevilla form, maybe it would be wise to sell Araujo. But we don't think we'll do that.

Cost us final and 100mil in revenue.

How stupid decision.

0 IQ.

I can't remember anyone getting red card in first 30min in important match like this for years.

Not everyday you see a triple fuck-up in one game deciding sequence.

1. Bad pass.
2. No awareness to drop back and cover Barcola immediately after.
3. The actual foul

It's also Araujo himself falling over after the contact that really sells it. Made it seem like he barged into him with no regard for anything.

Would've looked a different situation if he'd stayed on his feet himself. Wasn't that much contact, plus the uncertainty of whether Barcola had gotten to the ball before the keeper. Might have let him off with a dark yellow.

Morons here really compared him with Van Dijk.

He isn't even close to Saliba, Konate and Gabriel lmao.

The Uruguayan Upamecano/ Pink-haired wannabe Puyol has no pure defensive qualities. He's just a strong and fast donkey. Weak at tackling, interceptions, positioning, marking, passing, mentality and IQ.

A 17 year old Cubarsi is so much more mature and intelligent than him.

Huge huge mistake. But alot of you will scoff at this.

We were not playing with the mindset to switch to playing with 10. If we were we would have managed much better with riding the sending off and possibly progressing.

Even with 11, we were building to conceding inviting pressure without increasing our ball and movement speed.

Rome and Anfield all over again, just being masked by the sending off a one piece of Lamine magic.

80 million. SELL. ASAP.
We have Faye and other CBS. Why not cash in? This guy has simply not developed as expected. Maybe its the managers he's played under? I don't know. But when a 17 year old rookie outshines him you have to wonder.
