And before that, random US high school team to LaLiga2 (which I think is a bigger jump).

I feel like football will start to spit out more stories like this (already happening).

Every level of football is so heavily scouted that less and less people are falling through the cracks, here in England there are more players coming up to the EFL from non league than ever.

Scouting has become the main target of expansion for professional teams, there is an increased awareness that there are far more diamonds out there than people first thought. Teams in turn are also much more willing to take on developmental players with characteristics they like and see if they can make them better. It is especially the case for teams who need to work beyond their means but can also be seen in big teams with lots of money (Chelsea in some way although not on this level).

The game used to be much more based on pedigree and experience.

Forget. We are not spending that much on LW. Our transfer fee projection for the summer is Bastoni (or other CB) around 60m, CF around 60-80m max, LW around 50m

What's weird about that? When he was a child they were already an oil club on the rise.

A stupid statement if he doesn't have everything agreed for a transfer though. Good for us, probably they won't buy both him and Alvarez this summer.

Sure nothing weird to tell your father is a big supporter of any club you wish to transfer to. And it's totaly believable, that a child's dream is playing for a "rising" oil club.

They are going for him and a striker to replace Ramos and Barcola.
Kroupi is the most likely signing, though.
 
What's weird about a who probably has connections to France cheering for PSG in 2012 when he was 6?

What's so funny? His dad just has two favorite clubs.

If you don't see a correlation between him being asked about transfers to these clubs and his answers: "My dad supports them, my child's dream blablabla", but see an honest child's soul, I won't stop you :lol:
 
Yeah it's just regular lies as with almost every transfer. I thought you were implying that it's impossible for him to cheer for PSG because they were a small poor club but they weren't anymore. These kids grew up with PSG, Chelsea and City being already top clubs.
 
Imagine the notion that this guy is a generational talent that dribbles as good as Lamine yet the whole of LaLiga left hin in LaLiga2.
