No, Chelsea tried to take advantage by offering him a much lower wage; he would've been stupid to accept it.
I can understand taking lower wages for serious clubs, not Chelsea
It's not happen folks, he makes 15m net in turkey, and supposedly footballers only pay 20% tax there. So they are playing him roughly 20m gross.
Not bad at all when you think about it from that prospective.
The tax rate in Barcelona is what I'm guessing 40-50%. We would have to pay him significantly more just to match his current wages. I don't think he would take a 3-5m net pay cut, which is understandable.
Maybe if Barcelona has a mbappe tax loophole it could work.
All that being said he really is the perfect striker for us.

And the cost of Alcatraz "complete package" will be more affordable? Not so sure...People asking for him still don't understand the cost of his complete package and think we can seriously afford it or Tebas will allow to register him, or that he is even worth it
Also, we don't REALLY know what he makes and what he would ask from us - we also don't REALLY know how much they would let him go for.

If he won't ask for 25m/y, then yes. Fee is going to be similar, but Osimhen has a much higher salary with 16m net. That's what Julian earns gross at Atletico.

Another rumour was that Gala actually received a 140M offer for him this summer, yet didn't even respond...I'd actually be more inclined to believe that one than the one about 65M.
Turkish clubs are loaded, and they have major tax advantages there as well...I mean just look at Salah going to freaking Trabzonspor!
While this situation it's even worse, Gala basically being the Barca of Turkish league (Fener being Madrid) and Osimhen was the first real main star of their league, and the fans and everybody in the club absolutely love him, and he loves them too (or is at least content there).
