If he was a white South American, would we be in for him?

Sporting wise (his output, style of play, goals and assists, general pure striker ability) he is a no brainer. Even for a high salary and transfer fee (which is the norm these days anyway).

But when we consider the likes of Suarez and his antics on/off the pitch... Neymar's personality etc.

Why isn't there more smoke surrounding the possibility of getting a player of his level?

We should be all over this signing, despite his personality. He seems loved by the fans at Gala and professional enough to carry the team as their prime star, still performing where and when it matters - who cares if he has a temper? So did Alves, so does Rüdiger, you can still be a valuable asset.

I had a feeling I’d ended up on the first page.
 
There has to be some deeply disturbing red flags on him at personal level we don’t know about but the board does, like him being a Real Madrid supporter for example.

I just reread the first initial posts, you are on point.

Desperation setting in, we were in a bad situation before loosing Ferran (who should be sold, never any doubt) but now with an 18 y/o unproven kid as our only real striker in the squad and 3 weeks spent on not even getting an inch closer to Julian...

Maybe Flick, reluctantly, will have to go for an offensive hybrid without a pure CF like PSG did with succes?

Different times, different management, different economic ability, different football map.

Osimhen is a massive financial package, his club has just turned down 130M offer,he is paid more than Lamine. Barca can't afford that
