This is the one that you don't really wanna lose. Especially not to City.

Could end up nothing, could end up just a decent lil player. But the potential is there to get some big transfer fees in the future- if not Barca level.
 
Club has to figure out a way to get all these players out because it will benefit all parties but keep some level of control just in case one works out and like porque said potential transfer fees
 
Another one my eagle eye caught and mentioned him when not even a starter in Juv A.

Recommended him to mate at West Ham.

Alas they didnt listen.
 
It's the Masia sacrifice you have to make to land a player much further ahead in the development curve that can bring instant titles. I am also confident that if sold, a buyback of some kind will undoubtedly be involved

That's the model and its what makes the club unique - some will make it, make the most of the opportunity
 
Either way I'd be surprised if City wanted Tommy included and feel it would probably be more like our club offering him or feeding his name to the PR accounts.

If Pep was around then perhaps as a punt, but even he has been all about results and not development. They brought him young pivots and they were shipped right out on loan.

Nice way to use the Rodri deal to get his name out there though.
 
City's model is like most in Premiership, they etiher go the talent farm route like Chelsea (Leipzig wannabe) or they only buy players with immediate return on investment vs long term planning with development. So no, I don't believe City would be interested in Marques but I can absolutely understand player himself wanting to seek a club to actually play

He's got potential and that needs to be bedded in with quality minutes, I hope he finds it at the right club
 
City brought in Nico and Reijnders to try and play in the two and both were shit.

Their best signing by far was Khusanov at CB.

The Marques link was more about them putting him out to Girona.

Barca should be doing that themselves even if not Girona.
 
Also City signing Tommy to loan him to LaLiga2 is not much of a flex. We can loan Tommy to half of the LaLiga2 sides ourselves. Pepper is at Almeria and Castellon play a poor man's Flick style. So plenty of fits.

And that's not going into the Mallorca's, Andorras and the like where we already have established relationships with.

Indeed Virgil got wrong as seen him so often in Scotland and it was too easy for him he switched off at times.

Same reason the big clubs turned away.

He kicked on in England big time.

I can spot plenty.

Saw Casado for what he was when you thought he was a leader and top player.

Braga could be the perfect place for him. Dortmund could be good too, although he would have to fight really hard to break through. While City just seems a too big of a step and he is then doomed to end up on loan somewhere and get lost there.
 
Perhaps less of a raw talent than Bernal but so much better physicality/athleticism. Something none of our other dm prospects has neither, Espart, Pedro R, Avila, Villar, Argemi.

Can easily see him doing well long term.
 
Just add in a buyback & Sell on clause and call it a day. This is the best outcome for everybody.

Tis good that youngsters are willing to leave rather than stay & rundown contracts.
 
It's true that he is showing ambition and that's impressive. He is deciding to leave right away at 19 to grow and develop as a player professionally rather than wait for a chance that may or may not happen.

More should do the same.

I however think it is worth giving him a try in the first-team, or at least loaning him out to keep control of him and see if he is ready for a higher level. If we were to sell him with a buyback, we would likely get more for him after he has played a season of pro football.

At the moment I can hardly see that we will generate much of a fee.
