Tennis

Golden rule is to not do anything of the sort. I'd give exception to people, who are disastrously disfigured either by bad inborn deformities or accidents. Yeah, fixing shit that's broken is okay. The looksmaxing fad is totally degenerate though. And it will in the end make these people look ugly in the old age, just like they were ugly inside, while younger. As above, so below.

Don't even need to shave it. Just get a short, 5mm buzz cut. Nobody will glance on you from above to check how many hairs you got in the middle.
I myself cut my hair to the same now days for conveniences sake, not because any balding issues.

Bingo! A person who accepts himself always wins. Once you're cut, you're cut, and there's no going back. The best thing a man can do is accept himself the way he is.

With that said, you're looking at it from a black and white perspective. What you refer to as vanity, others may refer to as identity. Others just look much better with hair; Elon Musk being a good example of that. Tom Hanks too. If undetectable cosmetic surgery at a reputable renowned clinic helps someone feel better about himself, good for him. I say, why not? His life, his decision. Key is being a good candidate in the hands of a highly skilled and ethical surgeon.

Ps. I shave my head. 😉

Still think Sampras on 90s Wimbledon grass is the epitome of tennis.

Complete package on a very tough surface with very little tech (brother was using 1980s tiny pro staff that was leaded up to 400g)

Federer and Novak aged naturally.

There's something weird about Nadal and his face, though. After the Netflix documentary and how they treated all the injuries...

I know that his hair loss must have bothered him a great deal, otherwise he wouldn't have had a hair transplant... at a mediocre clinic, I might add. Many men are also opposed to the alternative, ie shaving, for they do not identify with the tough guy image that it conveys, but in his case, I think that it would have suited him just fine.

If something looks off about his appearance, I believe that it's due his hair loss 100%, that is, sporting the "in-between" look. Prince William is another example of someone whose appearance very much changed after losing his hair. Another example of a guy whom I think would pull off the shaved look just fine.

Then again, doesn't really matter what others think as long as they feel comfy in their own skin.

True. That's why I kind of like the Sampras look though. He's not obsessed with being in the spotlight or his appearance, so aging naturally like that is still solid.

He's also 6'1 so would probably still mog vast majority of people his age.

True! Better to be bald and natural than the alternative.

As for height, I feel that that's more of an American obsession. Maybe it's because Europeans are overall quite tall, so if a feature is common, it stops being an advantage. 🤷‍♂️
