Ronald Araújo (loaned to Liverpool)

Aye fair pocketed vini in the 4-0 home defeat in the Cup.

Played one league game v him that season also.

Vini skinning Araujo and getting fouled is now him being 'pocketed'.

There were a couple of games where he contained Vini at RB but Vini rinsed him in all the other ones. Not a debate.

If he contained him a couple of times at RB and vini had the better a couple times.

Then it's literally a debate. Da fuq.

How many times did they meet at RB, 4/5.

It is more than just his passing.

His positioning is poor and he is too hot headed to make calm decisions.

Has been taken to cleaners a lot when defending deeper and in box in recent seasons.

Just doesnt read game well at all and a step off the pace too often and slow to react when marking in the box.

This idea he would be a good penalty box defender is way off. Have seen it too many times.

Dortmund in CL QF in Flicks first season he was taken to cleaners by their 9 and couldnt defend in box then next round was same when came on v Inter.

Cant pass, poor positioning, poor reader of the game and makes far too many rash decisions.

At his age Barca and other teams have realised he will never learn or adjust so there is very little market for him.
Yet, knowing all this (and I agree with you), we gave him a new contract

That's what pisses me of, he should have been sold even if we "only" got 20-30m for him - now he won't leave and instead cost us 10-15m a year (I guess his wage is somewhere in that range...). Dude played 1000 minutes last season, mostly scrap minutes coming of the bench - this season he'll play even less with Christensen back and Cortes knocking on the door.

So yeah, yet another fuckup from us. Or hell, convert him to a 9 and we solve 2 problems at once - "Araujo, our new 9 signing!"

Inter reportedly agreed 40m deal for Cuti but he prefers La Liga. They should spend that money on Araujo instead imo.

He'd be perfect for pretty much any Italian team out there...cause they all prefer to hold on to the lead when they get it and don't play as much on the front foot, while we're pretty much the definition of it.

I always imagined him going to Juve for some reason...and when they were interested in him a few years ago I really thought that was it. If only they'd revive their interest now. Hell, I'd even take 20M for him now, because it's clear that not only does Hansi prefer Christensen over him, but I suspect Cortes might overtake him in no time as well...

How many of you would lose their shit if Flick secretly worked with Ara to make him our new backup 9 - and we all find out about it when LL starts
Ferran and Ara, our two no 9’s

Aren't Inter interested?

Or perhaps he wants to have one last go at top level football here. If he cannot make his mark this season he will accept the defeat and make some money in Saudi instead.

But I hope we can get 30m or so for him this summer.

Watch this piece of ass have another fucking (justified) mental breakdown come this season and being saluted like a hero by (thankfully few) clueless duds, probably promoting him to some kind of ambassador or spokesperson for mental health issues for being 'brave and outspoken', when in reality he is a fucking millionaire who abandons his team to go visit a fucking apartheid state, where he can 'feel better and heal' literally miles away from the biggest atrocities committed against humanity since the world wars.

Did I mention how much I hate this pathetic clown? Captain?

Unbelievable levels of horseshit we've had to endure with the likes of Araujo, Ter Stegen etc.
