Robert Lewandowski

Goal machine and one of the top 10 strikers of all time.

Through and through football legend. 3 LL in 4 years against RM in a period of financial turmoil is exactly what we needed.

He was set on Luis Díaz, but Laporta wanted Rashford
- He wanted to sign João Pedro after his agreement with Flick, but Laporta wanted the Parisians
-
Laporta wanted Lewandowski to stay for another year and renew his contract with the salary he wanted
but Deco made a very smart move to get rid of him
And that is to give him a new contract that reduces his salary to 50% and Lewa refused and will leave and Deco's plan succeeded to make him leave in the cheap way and get rid of him and his big salary

He is the one who designed the deal for Joan García at the height of when Laporta was not agreeing to continue with Stegen and Ter Stegen together

Deco is making a tremendous effort but the problem is with Laporta and with the economic crisis that is not in his hands
and the proof of that is that Flick came out once in a press interview saying I'm very pleased with the work with Deco

Reads like ballonies to be honest.

Both Deco & Laporta wanted to sign Nico and then Diaz. Rashford was always the last option.
There still isnt a consensus on who they are targeting for the No.9. Deco was literally in London last night, no decision has been made yet.
Deco was in record, saying TerTerrorist is our number 1 GK.

Its all twitter bullshit for generating reach.

He's probably going to have a closer attachment to Barcelona after retirement than Bayern on a personal level.

🥲

Saw him cry for the first time. If I remember correctly, he didn't cry leaving Dortmund and Bayern.

Bayern is a very cold club

He loves Bayern too but like he said many times in interviews he was never given the love that Barça gave him in Germany

Germans are like that. Football is strictly professional. Lewa for them was a machine who scored bunch of goals. You cuddle him by praising in public and giving him funny nicknames. That's it

There are differences in Germany. South (where Munich is) is not as reserved as North.

Great send-off from the fans! Shows just how much he's meant to the club; a true professional...I'll admit, I teared up hearing them chant his name towards the end.

I don’t like these emotional sendoffs when Suarez and Messi left via backdoor.

I’m not sentimental type, this wasn’t a charity, he came here on very good wages and an expensive transfer fee.
So because Messi left with no farewell we should treat all our legends like shit now?

He came on good wages, yeah. But you get the wages either way. Whether you put in the real effort or not. That's why we have to seperate those who give their all for the team and those who don't. Lewa is among those who fought for the club.

Obviously easier to get a nice send-off while club is in a good cycle.

I remember when Pep or Lucho left. Wasn't as nice as this.

Or no farewells at all like with Etoo or Ronaldinho. (Undignified here by Pep and Laporta)

Xavi had it best imo. But that was a rare occasion to go out with a bang.

Previous mistakes by our boards don't mean club shouldn't try to do their best now or in the future.
