Real Madrid

It just tells more about Madrid's desperation. Being completely out of ideas that they decided to bring a dinosaur back.
I think they very likely contacted Klopp first, Klopp probably thought he can't control the circus so refused, hence Mourinho jumped in. Mourinho still can do damage with a great team, next year's Clasicos are gonna be fire.

Even if he wins again, Perez will be chased out come winter if results don't improve instantly.

Senile old man knows this and is thus panicking and promising everything.

Will surely be a circus.

Imagine if they 3 peat a trophyless season aka 2004 - 2007 (or something like that).

I hate the appointment and I hate the fact Perez will soon die.

Who will chase him out? He's a dictator and will be there until his last second on this planet, lol.

Mourinho still can do damage with a great team
That's the problem right there. They are not a great team, not even a team for that matter. Just a bunch of egoists wearing the same jersey. Perez' last hope is Mourinho manages to form a team out of them. But I don't see how Mbappe's and Vinicius' character are going to change, since both are alpha players who don't want to share the stage and have their strengths on the same position, so one of them will always be unhappy.
Mourinho has the authority to place either on the bench, but then the drama starts the same as with Alonso and Madrid will be forced to sell one at a low. Especially since Vinicius contract is running out, threatening a free departure in the summer.

Their best option is selling Vinicius for 100m, putting Mbappe on the LW and use this money for a worldclass striker/RW. They would massively improve. Thankfully Perez is too stubborn to see the best way out and keeps his problems for the next season.

Reason he called for elections is because he want to move forward with selling a stake in the club ASAP before the situation becomes so dire he doesn't get reelected or has the mandate for it.

Right now he's going to breeze past the other candidate in the elections and likely have a majority among his socis to change the ownership model.

If he had waited another year and they had another bad season then his plans would be in trouble.

This election got nothing to do with anything other than him trying to change the ownership model before he loses support.

The likely buyer(s) will probably be companies he has business with too. Old man want to become the de-facto owner of the club and pass it on even after he dies.

Maybe Florentino lives long enough to become a villain. After all, hes the most successful president ih history of the club, with 37 honours, topping Bernabeu's 32.

I am sure his legacy will be overwhelmingly positive but theres still time to tarnish it. 2 years without a trophy and hiring Mourinho, which is a huge punt honestly.

No vision and team is in disarray. It was clear they wouldnt win anything.

Maybe should have left in 2024 after his 7th UCL, in hindsight.

The legacy of a midfielder is the most dependent on collective/team success than any other position in the game.

People won't like this opinion of mine but midfielders are generally rated more on collective success and team trophies than actual individual ability. There are exceptions like Zidane who are more famous for their ability than team achievements.

Midfielders are also the most likely to be "system players".
Can't the same be said about any player? Harry Kane finishing 16th in the EPL (had he stayed) wouldn't be quite as impressive as winning the CL with Pool or PSG, right?

Would Dembele have won the BdO if he had played for Tottenham and won absolutely nothing?

So it's Olise after all
Perez going out in a blaze of glory. Thats what happens after a barren spell.

Galacticos 3.0

Love to see it. First Dumfries and now maybe this. 2 out my 10 favourite players today.

Dont care about Konate, even though he'll be decent.

Edit : I wouldnt sell. How can you replace Olise? Maybe for 200.

Perez has gone senile and forgot they offered 200m for Mbappe.

Or maybe he is just admitting that the bid was bollocks to begin with.

Bayern would never let Olise leave for 150m. He's their most important player. The only way they would be willing to listen is, if the offer would truly be insane like 200m+.
Maybe Olise wants to leave and forces a move. What then?
