I suspect City might have needed Arsenal to drop points anyway tbh because Arsenal would likely win on GD if both of them won out.

Although in that scenario City'd have more of a chance. However they probably needed Arsenal to draw or lose anyway to have a serious shot at the title.

The way the fixtures have been set had a big impact, Arsenal being allowed to go 2 games ahead is an important psychological boost, its hard playing 2 games behind in a neck for neck title race.

Most likely for Arsenal to drop pts is probably West Ham, Burnley and Palace have nothing to play for.

Citys problems have been there with Rodri also really.

He got fit in 2026 and with him they lost all three CL games he played in and won only 7 of 14 league games.

They have been wildly incosistent with and without Rodri.

Not even sure they expected to fully win title this year with trying to turn team around so quickly in past year or so.
 
There is not 1 world class team in the PL right now.

Surely one of the worst seasons in last few decades in terms of quality.

Arsenal will win but even if City won we would be getting worst champion in ages. This is the same City that got whooped by Madrid home and away.

Bayern and PSG?

The top teams in EPL will come and go as the best in CL as will all the top sides but as a whole the league blows others out the water for quality.

Arsenal is definitely world class.
Their attack might be shit but they will lock you down, just like they willl lock down PSG and BAYERN so called world class teams

I get Arsenal losing it again is a funny story and on point with the bottler narrative, bu yall really prefer City who have won 6 titles since 2018, over Arsenal? Theyve won too many.

I would have prefered pool in 2019 and/or 2022 to win it instead over this Arsenal, but still.
 
City are probably gonna get beaten by Bournemouth also. This is why Arsenal will win. This is not the City of old, but the team trashed by this version of Madrid.
