Ousmane Dembélé

Olise has been better than Dembele this season.

It's a case of who is the star at the world cup if France win it imo.
Kane has a great chance if England perform well, I think the voters are going to be a little resistive to giving Dembele two Ballondors in a row.

A lot of the time Ballondor is seen as a method of giving great players their deserved recognition rather than awarding it to the truly best player over the season. There is a sense of wanting to give certain players 'their dues'. Dembele in that regard already got it, and giving it to him again when he hasn't had a truly exceptional season (although very good) would feel like we are cheapening the meaning of the award.

Even in the criteria it says the player's past history is considered when voting on the current season.

So I think people appreciate Kane as a player and want to reward him if he ends up having a good WC.

If england win the WC the amount of push Kane will get from the English media, it would be impossible for him not to win.

The push would be justified too just to be clear, because the odds of them winning without Kane playing a big part is small

But it's a WC year so whoever wins with be who starts in the WC. Standard stuff

Didnt follow PSG much this season but didnt notice Dembouz often, think ballon dor is too much for him this season

As ppl said Olise has been outstanding and should get it if France wins and Vitinha if Portugal wins or gets to final

If France gets the title, Dembouz wins at a canter.

Anyway, no point predicting the future.
I think Dembele's chances of being the main favorite get higher if he finds a way to be vital for them in getting to the World Cup finals.

If Mbappe somehow got injured and he led the line with Barcola, Doue, Olise, and Cherki supporting, then it's possible (cause that's the only way I see him having the most influence currently, cause Mbappe would be the leader if fit), but Dembele is more likely to be the injured person in the group.

Kane, Olise, and Mbappe also have great chances. Messi does too, in fact, it's open to who can deliver mainly in the World Cup since it's a World Cup year.

It was a simplified way of looking at it, I will admit.

If Messi wins the worlds while turning 39 as a main man, that would be unheard of.

Maybe they should give the BD to Esteban Lepaul. He scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 compared to Dembele's 10. This is turning into a big joke.

He looked like a weak-mentality guy at Barca but when i see him now at PSG i see a completely different guy, how icecold he shoots the pens and his overall performance vs Bayern showed he became a man, him, Olise and Mbappe together will be tough to stop in WC

He's under a coach with real authority. At Barca he was under a weak coach with amigos clique ruling the roost. Shitverde was just a cuck and there was no discipline.
However if he stayed Yamal wouldn't be the player he is. I guess it worked out for both parties.
