Nothing but respect for the guy. Both him and Yamal have complimented each other saying how hard it is to go against the other guy, so at least the respect is mutual between them.

In 2 years maybe possible, when he has one year contract left. If he tires of french league and we have enough ffp room to offer him a big salary that matches PL offers. But yeah, a lot of big ifs in between.

I truly hope we have found a long term LB by then. He won't be as good as Nuno but hopefully the position is addressed and we can strengthen other positions.

First of all we have to sign Cancelo, secondly questions remain about his consistency even now, let alone in 1-2 years. Timing of Nuno is a bit far off, we are going to need a fixing earlier than that. Granted Balde continues to regress.

This position is our Achilles heel.
Our wingbacks in general have long since failed to meet our standards. We don't have a worldclass LB since Alba left in 2023. And RB since Alves left in 2016. 10 years already without a worldclass RB is unacceptable and a sad state of affairs.
 
People said the same about what's is name the Italian midfielder, granted he never won a CL.

But those big cheques and challenging consistently why would he want to leave and if he does it would have to be him walking on a free

Came here to say this. This is Veratti all over again.

A player that PSG has that Barca desperately need to get to the next level.

Now that PSG have actually won 2 CL, I wonder if they will change their ways and let players leave if they want to.
 
If only we could exchange Ferran, Raph, Kounde and 20-30 minllion € for this guy. Absolute beast of a player and as complete as you could get. Him and Hakimi on the same team is simply unfair.

If we are serious of returning on the top, we take him when his contracts run out and give him a hefty signing bonus. He will be just 26 in 2 years. We need to know how to run operations like that if we are seriously thinking of being a number one club.

As @jamrock said, folks thought the same about Veratti and look how it ended.

PSG now is the new Bayern, yes it is one team league, but playing for them is prestigious and profitable regardless.

A guy like Mbappe might be regretting he didn't continue there.

I don't know why would Mbappe regret leaving. QSG would not have won the 2 CL had he not left, it's clear at this point

Veratti definitely regrets not leaving QSG at some point. He would have a much better legacy if he played anywhere else

I really don't know what's so prestigious about playing for PSG. They won 2 CL but that doesn't change going back 20 years, even less, they were not a big club

When they stop with these UCL heroics and suffer 1, max 2 eliminations reckon most of players of this team will be looking to go somewhere else
 
Any photos going around of him being in a Barca jersey as a kid or hinting that he likes Barcelona ?

Afaik PSG got him for less than 40 mil and he extended his contract last year till 29'.

No way they'll let him leave , a player with his quality anyways , just like they did with Verratti.
