He returned to his boyhood club, saved them from relegation and is now doing well in the cup.

Ronaldo is fighting with camels, bottling every trophy and hated by his teammates in national team because of what an egoistic prick he is.

We can say they both had unfortunate endings. But I believe Ronaldo is the one who wishes he'd retired earlier, in terms of legacy being fucked up and all that stuff.

Neymar himself was in the camel league, wasn't even the main man there, ended up being a huge flop in the Saudi league and was let go and now he's in relegation battles in the current Brazilian league which is crap.

You were waxing lyrical about how important he'll be for Brazil in the World Cup when he ended up being a glorified cheerleader. :lol:
 
One thing I am scared for Lamine is his legacy might age like Neymar, unfortunately. The expectations are just not normal

He will win Euros, WC, La Ligas, CL and people will be "but he could have been next Messi"

No, he couldn't. He is what he is, and he is very good

Neymar is Brazil topscorer in history, treble winner, PSG legend, Santos legend.. yet he is thought of as a failed talent simply for the fact people expected so much from him when he was next to Messi

And rightly so, he has 1 UCL to his name and no World Cup medal of note. And even that 1 UCL he was a part of a trident and he didn’t entirely dominate it, career ended at 28 basically.
