Neymar

Ancelotti really left out their only in-form striker to select Neymar who was injured for 90% of the tourney and a complete non-factor.

Probably getting booted as soon as they land in Brazil now.

What a shit statement

Trying your best to put this on Neymar I see

It was never a matter of Neymar or Pedro. Ancelotti clearly didn't rate Pedro or didn't see him as a tactical fit. He would have dropped someone else if it was about that. Zero logic

It's not Neymar's fault, but he shouldn't have been selected.

Mate, I know you're a true Barca fan but something tells me you're on the younger side compared to most other people here who were around the Brazilian Rs or the young Messi/Pep's Barca era.

The version of Neymar you see right now is 1/100th the level of the Neymar from 2014 to 2018. Actually thinking this player you see is still Neymar is doing a disservice to the legendary talent and player that prime Neymar was.

I know you're a massive Neymar fan @MonteCuler but you have to accept that he is washed and has been washed since that injury in Saudi.

Brazil selected an injured player who could make no impact for them. And Ancelotti pretty much said he chose Neymar over Joao Pedro.

Brazil lost the game after he was subbed in. They were simply playing a man down and Norway used it to their advantage.
Brazil lost the game when Gabriel got bitched by Haaland in the box and when few moments later everybody left him alone 20m from goal

In other words, when Brazil proved they are pussies with no balls. Like pretty much every WC for last 20 years

They have the best striker from Pele and R9 for what they can play in that midget, they don't need others, just a supporting cast and some games. You act like Neymar can't play at 34 as number 10 but his entry revived their whole dead team. First you use your best players then you play some temu Brazilians.
Vine beside walking and diving did what?

They needed something that off all the players on the bench only he offered so I understand the sub.

They didn't lose because of him. Endrick for one fucked up twice with the miss and then poor work effort and challenge before halaand first goal

Never said or claimed that

He is not a scrub either and was rightfully called up for his great performances with Santos

Brazil wasn't a man down when he came on. He was running and pressing and triyng his best. Watch the game with eyes mate, not through simple narratives

It was either that for me, or he’s Brazilian. But he ain’t Brazilian. Maybe on his dad’s side who knows

He shouldn’t have been called up. He hasn’t even recovered fully.

I saw Neymar pressing, didn't see Vinicius. Only thing that saved Brazil was Odegard and Nusa. Schjelderup and Bob changed that and the Italian knew he was fucked once Håland gets more balls, that's why he tried to change the script to a possession team, but that is not how football works.
You got everything wrong.

He was never meant to be a starter. He was here for impact off the bench.

He wasn't available vs Morocco.
He wasn't needed vs Haiti.
He did well off the bench vs Scotland.
He wasn't needed vs Japan (would have came on in ET)
He did well off the bench vs Norway.

Brother they didn't even watch the game

Saw Neymar lose, let's assume he didn't run or do anything

This is their logic

Claiming Brazil was man down when he came on is just dumb narratives

To contest his talent and dedication on pitch always seemed crazy. Never saw him not playing 100%. I was a fan of him leaving because I thought there were better finishers than him and we had Messi. I just wanted a young striker and Mbbape near Messi while it was clear Neymar could run a team and playing on the wing for Suarez was just a bit wasting his talent. Totally understandable for him to leave and it was because of Suarez and not Messi in my opinion, or money.

As a number 10 he was always absolutely outstanding, the PSG game is a testimony, him taking PSG to a final of UCL where Mbbape fucked up, there is nobody who can match his passes or link up in that Brazil. He did press and it's not his fault he got ignored by Carlo or Brazil lost defending against an animal.
This is 100% on Carlo and Vini, the whole team was built around his counter attacks. But defending like a buss against Håland is dangerous when you don't have your best defender, Perez.
