Movies

(Re)Watched a few decent to great movies over the last month.

Stop Loss 5.5/10
Goodfellas 10/10
Knocked up 6.5/10
Rendition 8/10
Escape from Alcatraz 7/10
Green Zone 3.5/10
Sore: A wife from the Future 6/10

Yup. It reminded me of a feel good Pixar movie. Simple Sci-Fi plot, deep emotions, meaningful message. Really nice movie.

Sad times, if even Nolan gets infected with the woke virus:

I just watched Dead Poets Society

First time I seen it was in high-school. Our teacher from religion who was a priest put it on for us instead of usual class. Was too young and distracted to get the message then but loved the movie later on.

When I think about it now, what a great guy he was (and these was the post war 90s) but obviously we didn't appreciate it.

Good movie about camaraderie.

I HATED Project Hail Mary.

Comically overhyped! Such a lame and dumbed down movie. 👎🏻

Gosling was good though.
To me it was great. Maybe you would have liked more action. Most of the movie was Gosling and that rocky alien talking to each other. But to me it was cool

Maybe it is overrated because people put it ahead of many classic sci fi movies. 2001 and Interstellar are still my favourite ones

I saw someone make a very great parallel with this

Like imagine if someone made a Muhammad Ali or Mike Tyson movie with a skinny white male in their role.

Yeah, you can do it. To promote "diversity". But it's more important to promote historical accuracy, when you make movies based on historical events.

Basically, nonsense.
