Yea okay 70 years lol. You said they were dominant what makes them dominant losing? When it matters most?.

They are most certainly amongst the elites no one argued that or can argue that.

But winning 2 CL in 25 year doesn't not make you dominant in the CL. Simple as that.
By that token nobody is dominant in Europe since it was only won by Madrid over the past 25 years and other teams 1-2 times mostly.

What a dumb statement and logic.

There you go finally getting it. Took you too long TBH.

No one has been dominant in the CL in recent years bar Madrid. That's just the simply facts. Now don't repeat that nonsense anymore than a team is dominant for losing in the CL.

PSG now has an argument for winning it back to back.

That's like say Madrid have been the dominant team in La Liga for finishing 2nd so often.

I don't agree. You can have like a top 5 clubs based on trophies won, how many times they played advanced phases of KOs etc. Otherwise everyone packs it in and goes home because Madrid.

Honestly I think that truly great team they had in 12/13 and destroying us at home. Has shaded too many people's views on Bayern in the CL, especially the latter. Because it's still fresh in everyone's mind.

But practically they haven't been dominant.
They have been very good in a group of teams behind Madrid.

Us, Bayern, Chelsea, City, Liverpool, PSG.

They have been no more dominant than those teams in the modern history of the CL.

Barca and PSG have a much better argument for being "dominant" than Bayern does.

For stuff like this, you pick a certain period and measure; for example, Bayern has been more dominant than Barca in the last 10 years in the UCL.

They've had a deeper run than us, like 7 times out of 10; and we both left at the same time (Quarter-finals) once out of the 10, and we had a deeper run than them 2 out of 10.

We've gone out of the Group stage twice in the last 10 years, and Bayern hasn't in the same time frame, so for the last 10 years, they've definitely been more dominant than us.

If you're looking at 2005/6 to 2015/16, Barca was more dominant then, but from 2015/16 till 2025/26 it's clearly Bayern

They have made deeper runs than us during our most difficult period isn't exactly shocking.

Why would I choose the worst periods of Barca to use against them?.

I chose 25 years because that balances out everything and includes multiple teams that have won the CL in that period, not just us and them.

Because it's not a Barca vs Bayern debate.
It's a have Bayern been dominant in the CL debate and they simply haven't been.

The only team that has been dominant in the CL whether it been 10 years or 25 is Madrid.

Bayern are just another team mixed in with the group I've mentioned.

They have been dominant for what? Not winning the CL?.

If CL SF is what is used to measure dominance. Which is a weird ass measure. If that's the case let's celebrate flick and valverde. For losing their CL SF.

In the last decade they have been to 5 CL SF.
Won 1 Covid CL.

PSG have been to 5 SF won 2.

City 5 SF won 1.

Liverpool and Chelsea also won it. The exact same amount of times has Bayern in that period. One.

Barca 3 SF. Won 0.

What dominance are y'all talking about?.

So if anyone has been dominant in the CL outside of Madrid, like it said it's PSG not bayern.

Nonsense talking about bayern have been dominant. The facts don't match the dogma on this one.

Your logic is broken.

Just asked Gemini about it:

To evaluate the top 5 clubs over the past 10 UEFA Champions League seasons (from 2016–17 through 2025–26), we apply a point system based on knockout stage progression:

Scoring System
Knockout Stage Qualification:
Round of 16: 1 point
Quarter-finals: 2 points
Semi-finals: 3 points
Finalist Bonus: +2 points (Runner-up total: 5 points)
Winner Bonus: +4 points (Champion total: 7 points)

Top 5 Clubs Ranking Table:
1. Real Madrid (46 points)
2. Manchester City (31 points)
3. PSG (30 points)
4. Bayern Munich (25 points)
5. Liverpool (23 points)

For the past 25 years the top is something like this:

1. Real Madrid
2. Barcelona
3. Bayern Munich
4. Chelsea
5. Liverpool/AC Milan

That's a whole lot of jumping around with Gemini. To land at Bayern have been the 4th team in the CL behind PSG like I said 😂.

Also no chance PSG are behind city. They've won 2 CL back to back and made the exact same number of SF as I said in my 2nd post. So that Gemini logic is nonsense.

Bayern have made 2 more SF than barca during our worse period and winning an asterisk CL. Yea very dominant.

Compare that to PSG.

They have also won the exact same number of CL as Liverpool, city and Chelsea in that period, all with no asterisk.

Like I said the facts doesn't match the dogma that they have been dominant.

Only two teams can make that claim PSG and Madrid.

They have been in and around the elite teams. Because they are one and ahead of the worse Barca years.

Didn't double check if the calculations are right tbf. But can't be far off.

But them always being top 5, be it last 10 or last 25 years tell me they are a force in Europe.

You can spin it however you want, they are one of the top sides. Just pressing on the fact that "dominant" for you means something else ain't fixing it.

One of the tops side certainly.

I remember reading on here that they have been the 2nd team to Madrid in the CL as well not too long ago.

Facts don't match any dogma about bayern's dominance.

They have been better than Barcelona the last decade, that's about it.but we've been shit.

I asked Gemini the same thing you did and got the same result so at least it's consist.

But they gave city credit for things like XG and possession, and weighted that more heavily than winning the CL back to back

Probably best to break the sides down into two periods, the modern data driven physical era, which is probably the last 20 years or so. And everything before that.

And then now we have the VAR era which further breaks it down.

The 70s are already half a century ago. Let that sink in.

Bayern fans comparing Olise and Yamal are off base. I don't even like Yamal much, but as a dribbler and creator he is consistently more special and harder to block out of a game than Olise.
are you gona produce some stats for your claims cause from what I am looking Olise is the better dribbler based on dribble success and better assist man; Olise is the closest thing to Ronaldinho I have seen for a long time

We'll see in CL. Unfortunately for Olise, Lamine plays in a league filled with world class players. Olise plays in a league where there is zero competition at the top.

Olise will have to leave Bayern if he wants to go band to band with Lamine in terms of legacy. That's just the way it works.

Until then, all he can do is show us world class performances in key stages of CL and WC/Euros to impress the world. So far, he didn't exactly do that. He was good against PSG first leg, but it's not like you had the feeling game revolves around him. That's what WC performances look like.

Nobody doubts his abilities, only thing left to test is his personality.
