Marc-André ter Stegen (loaned to Ajax)

According to Calology, the highest paid player including bonuses has a salary of 4.4 million.
If we manage to agree on a salary of 3 million, it will be good, but considering that he earns a fixed 15.6 million with us, that is really low. Still, it is better than nothing.

Marc-André ter Stegen to Ajax is a done deal. Ter Stegen joins on loan until the end of June 2027 with the majority of his wages covered by Ajax. [@FabrizioRomano]

See you next year for one final round.

What does "Majority of his wages" mean?

I refuse to believe Ajax is going to pay more than 5m for him. Anyways, good stuff, one toxic player gone.

I doubt Ajax can afford majority of his normal wages, so I bet he has given up a chunk.

Marca says Ajax are covering 10% of his 20 mil. euros per season salary - they are, however, a biased media outlet so take it with a grain of salt.

The best W/W/W would probably be a compromise from all parties - Ter Stegen slightly lowers his salary with the prospect of being the main #1 in a good club with regular CL football, Ajax gets a proven keeper of high pedigree and Barca offloads a player we have zero need for.

If the deal in any way goes 20-30% into covering his salary we should be somewhat content with that, since he is the deadest of deadwood currently.

Yeah, Ajax is not paying most part of 20mil salary.

But still, good job.

Offloaded Fati forever, Christensen is renewed for boosting FFP, Ter Stegen also will bring us something...

Next signings could be done easily without drama .

Ajax are a big club. I hope Ter knows that, at his current level, he is punching being at Ajax.

His ambition should be to play well enough to earn a permanent move there, rather than thinking of impressing so that he comes back to contest a starting spot at Barca. :lucho:

You know what, from now on I'm going to blame this guy and Alba for all the CL thrashings. Biggest mental midgets around, we might actually have won a couple more if not for them.

Virtually every goal against us was the same... either ter Stegen freezes or it comes from the left flank or both.

Him in every away game where we even had a good cushion (still remember the loss against Roma, a tall cone in goal had been better) and will never forgive Alba for crying during halftime at Anfield, what an absolute puss, most disgraceful display in a Barca shirt ever, all leading to a slippery slope of mental breakdowns that led to the infamous 8-2 defeat against Bayern. We made shit Coutinho look amazing as a bonus.
