Could never warm to him after that. Part of the robotic, no flair, somewhat arrogant German/ Bayern contingent.

I'm able to look past personal biases when judging players but nobody will convince me that Buffon wasn't better than him.

Okay, this is your bias talking clearly. :lol:

You can't have more swagger and flair as a keeper than Neuer did. He was anything but boring and robotic. His game was supremely entertaining and crazy. Nobody has ever criticised him for this. On the contrary, people have criticised him for being too adventurous.

He revolutionized the position and young keepers still try to pull off what he did but can't look half as cool as him.

The GOATkeeper.
