Luka Vušković

It's basically a swap with the Dutch guy +10m.

Spuds get a ready defender to pair with Ven as they look to reach Euro contention while Brighton get their next project signing to develop and sell on.

Win win for both clubs strategies.

Smart move by this kids. Brighton will help him develop in a top league but with less pressure than if he now signed in Barca or something like that.

Hope we can take him next summer or the one after.

It's a good move for Spuds too with the buyback.

Their transfer targets look smart actually, considering they are relegation battlers ;)

Coach Dalic wanted Croatia to play 3 at the back to make room for Vuskovic. Youngster had a bad match against England and was dropped and Croatia reverted to 4 at the back.

Huge signing from uncle Tony. Will probably be eased in the first season adapting to the PL and rotating with Dunk but then replace the captain. Unless FH plans to use 3 atb as there are rumours Brighton also still wants Honest Ahanor from Atalanta. They already have 6 CBs though Cashin and Igor Julio are on their way out and Coppola could be loaned again too.

But Dunk/Vuško - Struijk/Boscagli looks quite solid on paper.

If he's the real deal I'd pay 90m for him down the line in a few years. But he has to be really really good.

If we get him we are commiting to a Luka - Cubarsi partnership for the next 10-15 years

And while both are undeniably great players and huge talents, I am not sure they make the best pair in a sense that their qualities complement each other

Cuba would ideally need someone who excells in the physical characteristics (tall, fast, strong, intense)

Luka does not appear to be like that, but I have not watched much of him yet to conclude. It's hard, when he plays in the most unwatchable league there is. Though Brighton is usually one of the few sides that play some football

Cubarsí had some of his best games next to Iñigo or Laporte, and neither is particularly tall, fast or strong. Maybe what he needs is experience, positioning and intelligence, not an athletic freak. In that context, Luka Vušković, while a very good player, is still a gamble because of his lack of experience.
