I've never seen Messi this emotional since the final whistle blew in the Copa America 2021 final.
The guilt that was on him thinking the team would be out because of his penalty kick.
So happy that he was able to overcome that.
The one and only... what a guy... he fired the whole team and nation again...
Unfortunately, at this age, he is like the new F1 cars... time is needed to recharge the batteries before going in attack and deploying DRS... but he timed it perfectly for the comeback like a true champ...

Argentina need to play defense. they can't handle lower level teams woth low block and counters. need to be more compact. messi keeps scoring EVERY game this tournament but I am not sure it would be enough to beat the big boys. we never had Argentina favourites to win second in a row anyway.

Not that it’s any of our business but I wonder if his emotions are also running high due to his father’s hospital visit during the tournament. Hopefully everything is well in that regard.
