The main reason he played so much was lack of competition as Gerard Martin was used mainly as a CB.
Cancelo is just on another level in attack and imo not worse in defense.
Also, Balde hasn't developed much since coming up. Some would even say he has regressed.

Nice feeling to be this comfortable in the league. Players can have early holidays if they maintain the pace and secure the title in few rounds.
Also, Deco can go to work immediately. Plan the squad for next season and stop the bullshit with claiming renewing players is same as signings.

His level stayed the same and we got Cancelo on loan. That's what happened.

I am at this stage again (April) that I am starting to become indifferent to Barca. The leauge is done because Real gifted it to us, we lost to a far inferior team in both Copa and CL (3rd time mind you) and we are for CL what Aresenal are for PL. Bottlers.

That's a prime example of a glory hunter, living from highlight to highlight. The team worked the whole year, to be in this comfortable position tonight against Celta. If you can't enjoy it, that's your problem.
Losing out on a CL final 3 years in a row does suck. But let's not let that damper or take away the joy of 3 league titles in 4 years.
Not so long ago neither was happening.
We just need to cut out the silly mistakes by the players & managers in Europe (valverde, xavi, flick) because really it's 5 times in recent memory we should have made the final & fucked up. That's at least 2 CL titles we've missed out on.

Celta and Getafe back to back. Things could get very spicy if Barca loses points with the upcoming clasico also in mind. I'm eager to see how the team reacts after the CL disappointment and also which role the refs are gonna play in the last games.

It's not really a lw, is it. Could work going forward too and would rid us of solving a problem of signing a left winger or activating Rashford clause.

Some of the most blatant vadrid refereeing in this match i've seen in a while and that compared to already low standards these last seasons. They really hope to somehow drag the competition on by not even trying to be subtle with the swindling.
