Even when you discount Flick who will surely not let the team slack, you forget the individual motivation of players. Joan, Cuba, Gavi, Fermin, Olmo, Ferran, Rashford.. all are not set starters for their national teams.

I can see Kounde, Balde or Frankie taking it easier but they've been known to slack anyway.

Lewa is a pro looking to exit with a bang and won't take it easy either. Bernal, Casado, Roony are hungry for minutes.
