We should rest everybody except those who need minutes to get in shape but we know Flick is not fond of rotating so it's probably gala 11. Yamal will start himself 100%.
 
I do not think our players were exhausted vs AM in the first leg tbh. It is more a matter of wrong player profile, and unbalanced squad. We had a huge issue in the sense that the missing starters vs AM have no corresponding replacements in the squad, in terms of profile and what they bring to the team.

Rashford isn't going to become a player who will press and be intense off the ball no matter what you do. It's a player profile limitation and it is insurmountable. Same way Raphinha will never posses the finesse of Lamine Yamal, other players will never match Raphinha's intensity and drive. Motivation talk isn't going to magically make players inherit personality traits they never had.

This is why it's crazy to look at Rashford as a Raphinha sub. Raphinha is a natural hard worker, Rashford is the opposite of that. Rashford is more like a Lamine Yamal wannabe than Raphinha.
 
I do not think De Jong is world class. But rather than Pedri - Olmo, and De Jong missing, I'd rather have De Jong - Olmo with Pedri missing. Why? Because Pedri and Olmo are more similar than Olmo and De Jong.
 
Aside from Garcia, almost the entire remaining starting 10 should be made up of players who definitely won't be in the starting lineup for the second leg against Atletico.

We need 10 players who will put their blood and sweat into the pitch.
They will run and work 110%.

This requires strength and a lot of recovery and rest beforehand.
 
With RM loosing a win is almost certain a title, and like i said we have no chance in CL anyway so i would focus on La Liga. Yes, rest Lamine and Pedri for example but all others should play.

I disagree.
If we play collectively, we'll put an end to our selfishness and be well rested...Then the chances of overcoming the two-goal deficit are still high!

Maybe, but we can not win CL with this setup and some other points...if not AM then PSG, Bayern...whoever will knock us. I just can not see as taking CL
 
Resting Pedri btw is not going to make him physically stronger and inject him with more pace. That's a physical limitation he will always carry and won't be able to overcome no matter what. Some players are fast and have good acceleration, some aren't. Pedri is of the slow technical type. He needs help vs intense sides from players near him to be efficient.

No... he was drawn out where shouldnt have been but still had ample time to get out and stop the cross.

It wasnt stopped at all by being caught between two.

His usual bad defending and too much space to let ball in as dangles lazy leg.

Barca know it as reported not first time and club getting tired of it.
 
Pedri and Gavi both start. Pretty much our A lineup. Cancelo, Rashford, Olmo, Lewy getting a rest. Would have liked Roony instead of Lamine at least, but Flick wants to secure the league and win the derby it seems. Let's hope for a clear result, so he can at least sub early enough.

Idk why did he choose what is basically a Gala XI, we have to rest so at least we can mount a comeback in the Metropolitano. But np, at least this is going into the noble cause of getting closer to the LaLiga title.
 
Ridiculous and Atleti will rotate again and be fresher in a few days.

Dont think the players look tired or need rest but it is about getting the edge and as fresh as possible.

Fuck all wrong with Pedri then and wonder if it was tactical due to way he was playing midweek and not fancying him with 10 men in midfield.

As said before Flick would be furious with way he defended like a naive child in build up to the red card.

Gets dribbled past and drfited off too often this season and been off it since back.

Ridiculous to go this strong. No need at all.
 
We are going to wrap up the league and go out of CL in span of half a week. Season will be over in April smh
