Dude thinks because hes playing for who hes playing, that means someone owes him something and hes entitled to winning sextuples and things.

I mean. Less than old Pistolero. Who even in his prime didnt track back that much. Shocking stat.

In modern football, only one player in your team can just stay forward without doing much off the ball. And that is only possible if that one player contributes 35+ goals for the team.

Klopp (who is the king of pressing) used to instruct Salah to stay forward and do minimal work off the ball (still way more than Mbappe). Mbappe scores a lot more than Salah.

Mourinho will probably use Mbappe in the CR7 role where he stays forward as an inside left.

The problem isn't that Mbappe doesn't press. The problem is Vinicius doesn't press, they have no tempo controlling Kroos profile in midfield and their defenders are turd. Vinicius contributes around 15 or 20 goals a season. You can't be lazy with that output.

Mbappe isn't responsible for Madrid's downfall. Terrible squad building, tactics and refusing to adapt is the real reason. They have a terribly unbalanced squad and no vision.

Mbappe needs to be used alongside a hardworking targetman like CR7 was used. Find his Benzema/Giroud.

Mbappe already had a club building the team around him and how did it end

Him and Neymar would have won the CL if they took their chances in the final. Unfortunately they were up against the GOATkeeper.

Tuchel outclassed Flick tactically.
Mbappe could still be on the decline. That argument doesn’t refute that claim. That final was already 6 years ago.

Puts Messi above Maradona 🤔 @soul24rage

@Fati where would CR7 be in this list?

That's actually a pretty objective list, focusing just on the WC.

Messi's overall body of work in WCs is slightly better than Maradona's even though Maradona does have the best WC campaign of the lot.

And Pele was the star in 2 World Cup wins, so he is tops.

ZZ would be slightly ahead of Mbappe, but this is debatable and you can put Mbappe 4th if you really want to.

Yo good post

yeah just wanted to say even Cristiano was pressing a lot in big games, especially when he saw that defence was struggling

and now in modern football its even more difficult to have a guy in a team who doesnt press, i mean when you score like prime Messinaldo 50 or 60 goals per season then ok but who does this in current world

Mbappe and Vini not pressing will kill Real

Wow tough ranking, i think we have to consider that the mentioned guys played in A-tier teams, teams which are known to win big stuff

Cristiano was born in a country which won nothing and he managed to lead his club to 3 major titles

Pele won it 3 times but we shouldnt forget they had way less matches, if i remember correctly they had only 6 matches in whole WC so if you have already the best team its way easier to win it than nowadays.

My ranking would look like this:

1. Diego Armando Maradona!

'But why Fati??'

What he has done in that WC is not normal, 5 assists, 5 goals, highest dribbling and created chances ever in a WC - he did all the things in only 1 WC. He is THE WC god!

2. Pele

I mean ok he has 3 Wcs and was often their best player so deserves to be on 2nd place

3. Messi/Ronaldo

Messi: Was great in WC2014, was great in Copa americas until finals (15,16) and won WC/Copa America. As people know im a bit criticial about the Copa Americas as mostly you have to beat Paraguay and Panama to reach final otherwise i would put Messi higher.

Ronaldo: As said in a country where you not even expect to win a single title, he won 3 (!) . A final win vs France, Netherlands and Spain. 3 giants of football were beaten by this (good looking) man. Also he has as many goals as the great Maradona in WCs despite playing in a a lot weaker country.

The rest are subjective. I mean guys like Iniesta and Xavi deserve also a mention as they were terrific during Spain's dominance. Even Kylian deserve a mention, he was crap with Real and PSG and EUROs but in WCs he was fine. Platini ofc too for his goals in only 1 EURO, brutal stats.
