He's so overrated at this point it's crazy

He's literally just Ferran with more technical ability

People expecting Prime Lewandowski are gonna be so disappointed 🤣

Yeah but he is 10x the player Ferran is

He has mor technical ability, ball control, more shooting ability, more set piece ability, better mentality, better workrate, more intelligent and also more proven (Won WC, CL, EPL.. contributed to each of those)
 
Ferran has marginally better goals per min rate for City than Alvarez and didnt play striker nearly as often and barely even settled there.

Ferran has a better goals to games for Spain also... albeit more poor teams to play but also no Messi and hasnt played striker as often.

Would back him to repeat it for Atleti.
 
Very different players but Alvarez seriously might not score more than him if given the same minutes/position. He likely has a better all around game, but also isn't very comfortable playing lone CF.

If we would sign him, it can't be exclusively for the 9 position, we need to put him in the right position to bring out his strengths, and he'd be better as a second striker or even on the wing.
 
Alvarez will score goals and it also he can move to Raphinha position to cover now and if Raphinha were to leave. Which in turn frees up Raph to cover Yamal on RW more often although not his best role.

Also if Kane can be persuaded he would be free in 2027.

Alvarez and Ferran is a decent place to be and versatile for still adding a more physical CF in future if needed.
 
Why spend big money on Alvarez when Kane is twice the player???
I know Kane is aging but if he can give us 2 years that will be enough.

No, it's literally impossible. Bayern would be much weaker if they sold Kane and there is no replacement to find in the current market. He'll stay there for many years.

There was a window to sign Kane with that release clause, which is now gone.
 
Kanes contract has a year left but still couldnt see Bayern selling him for anything that would be worth paying rather than waiting a year if he was open to move.
 
Muriqi should be nowhere near Barca.

A 32 year old that has one season where he has scored more than 4/5 goals in last 3.

Vlahvoic would be far far better value than him and much the better player if it comes to that.

He isn't Barca level, but do you think he's that bad? I mean, obviously he's proven he can score goals in the right circumstances (also internationally he has 32 goals) and it's probably difficult to put up good numbers with Mallorca season after season.

What is true is that he generally wasn't a goalscoring type and this season was an outlier, he was known more for his target man play.

But I see no reason he couldn't put up decent numbers in this side, albeit, I agree that Vlahovic would be a better stop gap both for ability and for his age.
